Ditto to the above. Will 'our man' in Dubai be attending tomorrow
?.

Tod's pal. I am quite new to investing. Your posts have been
interesting, informative and instructive as indeed have those of
many others. There is always one rotten apple in the barrel.
Although I understand your reasoning and upset, take time out,
reconsider and start posting. I join in with MF in his wishes.

tod,
best wishes - the internet does encourage the worst of human
behaviour under the cloak of anonymity.

Just begin to wonder if the modest rises yesterday and today are
indicative of a "leak" ahead of tomorrows figures. Hope so but
perhaps just wishful thinking.
Don't really post anymore after a poster "forked lightning" by
username posted the most repulsive and vile post targeting my grand
daughter on the GKP thread. Made an exception for this but that's
my lot now. All the best to all of you

Forgive a novice question but doesn't the geo political situation, Iraq etc possibly have an adverse effect on this company

The upsurge in volume - and the several larger trades did catch the
eye.
Price movement tomorrow may tell us something.
I did also notice PFC's order book; if there is a read across it is
more likely to have a 2015 affect on LAM.
If all the ballyhoo around the much improved banking/bonding
facilities really does deliver the contracts and tier 1 customers
then today's price of 152ish could seem cheap or very cheap in
12-18 months time. Who knows?

I bought some today mf - I figure the 1H is in the bag and
Petrofac's backlog seemed well up on last year = so I've read that
across as being a bit more positive for the 2H.

how exciting, a little spike up. Wonder if it can be sustained until results or whether it is MMs messing about again?

Interim results this thursday. RNS should be an interesting read!

Agreed. Of course LAM rarely does the expected.
If the second half is to be weaker than H1 - which I suspect will be rather good - then the dream outcome would be to announce a decent c/win with these interims.
This would nail down 2015 to be a good year and further out would start looking even better. The order pipeline would have been rebuilt. And goodies can only flow from there.
JM (and indeed JK) have tried assiduously to under promise and over deliver. So if next Thursday they maintain the pattern we should be okay.
Could there be an upward spike? Well every time I expect it I'm disappointed - so I try not to expect!

Equally MF if the update on the 28th is not good we could see a serious drop in the share price - hence my difficulty in knowing what to do!!

Down 3% on no volume. Am sorely tempted to fill my boots at this level, could easily see this soaring on any sort of positive news

funny share price action today. can't help but feel that any sort of news (good or bad) could see a very volatile reaction.

Correct, that is why I invest for income mainly,
I made a comment this morning on gvc, with mylands.
Go have a read, my dividend income is extremely good
and very high based on roi, I am receiving one very soon from gvc,
good dividends take away the need to trade unnecessarily.

Active Yes you are certainly correct in that the rights issue was a major success - especially if you had the foresight to buy more shares before the actual date. The difficulty is that sod all has happened since then - boring as hell - but yes those who advocate patience are correct - my difficulty is I have too much in LAM (having bought a decent amount at the rights issue) and up a decent number of thousands - and its the latter that tempts me to sell - well you know what they say - its never wrong to take a profit

Thrill factor zero.

The equity market is opportunity to invest and prosper,
it is not a fun ride.

The sahre price has moved from 80p to 150p and also gave the
intelligent value seeking investors the opportunity to purchase
more at 89p.

As Warren says the stock market is a tool that moves the money
from the impatient to the patient.

I could wait twenty years if necessary, already nearly
doubled most of my money here.

Well it moves neither up nor down. The thrill factor is zero. For the last month plus we may as well have been unquoted for all the price/volume action.

So what will 28 August bring? What of H1 and then H2? More importantly how does 2015 look and are divis going to return? and then where are the magic contract wins?

Could be quite exciting but could be a yawn as well. Time will tell ;-)

Patience now at an end with this share. Seem to have waited for ever for positive news. However the good news is that for certain when I sell a positive RNS will appear

This isn't about funding to pave the way for dividends, this in part is to finance packages to attract a wider range of project work, this is good news, although expected.
