03/7/2014 08:27 | I'm pleased with the rise since the rights issue but this share is still very frustrating. I could never trade, but LAM must be a trader's dream. Price rises first thing, sell, buy back later when the price is almost always lower.... | trigger blade
02/7/2014 20:01 | Thanks broadwood. Not seen it before and it's positive and encouraging. | aimingupward2
02/7/2014 18:14 | Apologies if posted already. Questor likes us - but is that good? | broadwood
02/7/2014 09:01 | As mentioned, post the rights issue we are somewhere around 175-180 in "old money", so the share price has reacted positively to the recent news. We need institutional buyers, but I get the strong impression that Moffat wants to underplay expectations and surprise to the upside. We've had 2 statements this year along the lines of "trading is better than expected but there is no guarantee this will continue", and the share price has barely reacted. Imagine what the effect would have been with the opposite statement: "trading below expectations but we expect things to improve". In that case the share price would have been hammered twice. It shows how undervalued we are. | mad foetus
02/7/2014 08:57 | Totally agree Pas. Only reason I can think of for us still being in 150s is that 2.8m shares were placed in the "rump" (unsubscribed for rights)placing at 146. Sometimes these shares go to people who are happy to make a quick turn and move on. So some may be offloaded around this time. All other things being equal we could see the 160s again soon enough. 02/7/2014 04:29 | Placings are done to raise capital because either a company's has cash flow problems or (as in this case) to invest to acquire new business & grow Hard to see anything negative here at all if you understand the business model | pas100

01/7/2014 05:47 | Nice one, tip. | cumnor
01/7/2014 05:46 | Eh? They have won four rig orders, have options on another two, have sorted out the past issues with virtually a whole management team, have delivered on what they have said they will do and then because they are managing costs between contracts it's bad news? They use contractors for some of the work, this could be what they are talking about, tool hire?, yes it maybe some heads, they have raised money for tooling which will reduce heads once it is up and running. It's a turnaround situation that is being delivered and is priced as such, if your research doesn't point you to that I'd have a look at your research. I could go on quite a bit more but as they say dyor. | deanowls

30/6/2014 20:31 | Agree Salp, I had a good look at entering on the news this morning, looks a bit thin, there doesn't seem to be any solid work in the near future of any eye catching value, then I read further back about accounting irregularities/fines and ontop of the recent 5 for 16 issue it's a pass for me. | whizzy1
30/6/2014 18:59 | Problem is not current trading but forward orders. They say that they are reducing overheads following delivery of current projects which simply means they dont have enough work going forward to utilise their current staff. The forward order book is the issue and should become clearer at the next set of results. | salpara111 |
