16/10/2021 14:31 | That is simply not the case 33mick. Sure there might be one interview he did in Korea where he correctly described that it is not “a fully automated continuous process that runs autonomously”. But there are endless examples of where it has been described as fully autonomous. I’m not saying that it’s not impressive what has been achieved. I’m just saying investors have been mislead and facts embellished. Not for the first time either. There’s a reason Kromeks valuation is so low and keeps falling | aqc888
16/10/2021 14:14 | AQC888, IF you'd bothered to watch the Korean vids from the showcase defence exhibition which for some reason you ramped up your personal expectations you'll have heard Arnab state that it is configured to run for 24 hour periods, the DARPA model for say Biowatch in the US has a requirement to run continuously for 5 days, these specs have changed many times as no other company has managed to design a unit that can run automatically for a hour let alone a day so far. Also you will notice in the same vid that we see for the first time the service door open showing the 2x process cleaning solutions bottles and the waste one. Which is another large clue to the RNA DNA sequence platform tech being used .. | 33mick
16/10/2021 13:02 | “Completely autonomous” “Samples the air every 30mins 24hours a day” “Fully automated continuous process runs autonomously” My point here is that the board have mislead investors. It’s a fairly important difference. A detector that works as a co2 detector does in your home - as we were lead to believe. Or a detector that needs a human to service it every day. We have a situation with Kromek where the board continuously again and again and again mislead investors. I do not view this as a mistake. I view this as an embellishment on top of many others. I have certainty there will be many many more where this has come from. This product was used to attract investors - cited as the main reason for the previous £13m funding. Not impressed, I have no confidence in this company anymore. | aqc888

15/10/2021 23:14 | I'm happy to see they are taking steps to market the machine and glad to be able to read though those details. Still sounds like the strongest solution in this space to my layman ears. | petersw1
15/10/2021 20:06 | Well said, Aqc. Too many tweaks needed on this machine. Probably why it’s not yet on sale. Have we been had? | b00mb0y
15/10/2021 19:07 | “Runs autonomously for upto 48 samples”. In other words it runs autonomously for 1day. That’s new information. Not quite how it’s been described by the CEO. It’s always been described as fully autonomous with no lab or human input. I’m sure if I looked through previous descriptions from the CEO regarding this I would find he’s been exaggerating slightly here. Not impressed and yet another dent to my confidence in Kromek. Over promise under deliver. Still no information regarding what lab tested the machine, any details about the accreditation or data or results from the tests. No statements or results from the institutions the detector was trialled at. A fully autonomous machine is not a machine that needs to have new sample capsules put in it every day... It’s not as described... How many more things are going to be found to be not as described? | aqc888

07/10/2021 14:34 | We are very excited to present, for the first time, a new concept for a low-dose Molecular Breast Imaging (MBI) gamma camera. The idea of the new disruptive design has been developed in collaboration with a world-renowned image reconstruction group from University College London led by Prof. Brian Hutton. This novel MBI technology is particularly effective for detecting breast cancer in women with dense breast tissue, where MBI has been shown to have high sensitivity and specificity. As a result, the cancer detection rate is significantly improved when used in the clinical practice alongside mammography and MRI. Our innovation is addressing the two main shortcomings of current MBI technology – higher effective patient dose and much longer screening time. The goal of our technology roadmap is to reduce the effective patient dose to the mammography level and to shorten the measurement time considerably. This new technology is revealing the full potential of CZT detectors. Our development is based on Kromek’s 3D position sensitive CZT detectors, and we are confident this will unveil the new capabilities and advantages of CZT cameras not only in breast imaging but in other applications in gamma ray medical imaging. Current progress will be reported in three talks during the IEEE NSS MIC Virtual Event: RTSD oral talk by Dr. Alexander Cherlin (Kromek) on 20 October – (#1055) “A new concept for a low-dose stationary tomographic Molecular Breast Imaging camera using 3D position sensitive CZT detectors” MIC oral talk by Prof. Brian Hutton (UCL) on 22 October – (#1078) “Design of an ultra-low-dose, stationary, tomographic Molecular Breast Imaging system” MIC mini-oral talk by Dr. Kjell Erlandsson (UCL) on 20 October – (#1021) “Challenges in optimization of a stationary tomographic Molecular Breast Imaging system | dougmachin

05/10/2021 16:55 | Again. A bit of ‘old news’ that’s been discussed on here or the lse board gets a bit of media attention and share price reacts with a ridiculous 7.88% increase. How long before the same happens with the biological pathogen detectors? The story will get regurgitated, people will react with “what seriously, a device that could prevent the next pandemic spreading through air travel? And it can do a load of other things like identify unknown pathogens/future pandemics in society... and protect against biological attacks? The U.S government has been funding this company and they’ve completed the second round of funding? Plus it’s a company with various other leading products in hospital scanners, radiation and security detection thrown in for free? The whole lot is valued at a fraction of just the rival hospital scanner business that just sold last month?” Then there will hopefully be the boom we’ve all been waiting for | aqc888
05/10/2021 15:36 | If Kromek is the only independent left in this field do people think a take over is possible and in what timeframe ? | strategicinvestor2
05/10/2021 14:03 | Regarding my earlier post of “magazine snippets” and “YouTube blah, blah” That’s a great find, AQC. It really is about time that this has been quoted by multimedia and news providers now let’s hope this encourages investors and gets that share price north bound. | b00mb0y |
