14/7/2022 14:38 | And look out for 483p on your new WPP investment. | hamhamham1
14/7/2022 11:23 | Everywhere I go I see Kier hi-vis jackets on large construction sites. | hamhamham1
14/7/2022 11:22 | Am happy holder thanks. Treble current share price in a couple or three years IMO. As ever, time will tell. | hamhamham1
14/7/2022 08:58 | Motleywoo said inflation is high he must be as well with the fairy tales he comes out with 😂 | ontheforks
14/7/2022 08:57 | 'forks, wollyprat and sickoprat always get very anxious before Kier results due to the risk that the turnaround of the business becomes very obvious in the numbers and the shares take off. wolly and sicko will be working very hard over the next few days to cast aspersions here with completely unfounded rumours and distorted facts. I look fwd to Tuesday and seeing them fall silent again, as they always do when the actual facts come out. | stdyeddy
14/7/2022 08:52 | pr@tt. Are you working in Kier's finance dept now sicko? I think not. Kier publishes average time to pay suppliers and is a fully signed-up member to the Prompt Payment Code. Kier's avg time to pay was recently reported to be 34 days -- that is very fast in any industry, let alone construction. | stdyeddy
14/7/2022 08:51 | I see motleywoo and the I.T crowd are in full swing again none of you have any credibility no sane person believes stories of buying shares for pennies and selling for pounds it's like me saying I bought tesla shares for a fiver off my mate Elon then sold them for a grand each now I travel by spaceship every day like my other mate Tom cruise pppfffttt good luck longs 👍🏻 make your own decision to sell, buy or hold | ontheforks
14/7/2022 08:37 | Kier withheld monies due to creditors and subcontractors at the end of June, much more than previous years. There is no way out of the cycle of doom for Kier. Prepare for very bad news in the construction industry. | zicopele
14/7/2022 08:20 | Inflation is high, Kier has lost cash for 6 years previously, interest rates double last years and growing. Auditors were recently fined for not evaluating risks on long jv projects at Kier, so will be particularly vigilant. Market is really punishing shares who issue any bad news (jdw got hit hard yesterday). I would be very worried. | wallywoo
14/7/2022 08:13 | You have no idea what you're talking about regarding Kier's upcoming trading statement and the 'likely to fall' of the share price. This will be proven Tuesday next week. | 1beginner
14/7/2022 07:38 | Lol, Ham already made 10+ percent and sold out 341 to 381. Will buy back again if it drops further. It's a trader's not buy and hold market. Put the proceeds into wpp at 776, no stamp duty easy trade at that price. The great thing about large caps is that they are easily traded. Kier still too small and not volatile enough to trade. This is especially true for non dividend shares, why own if the share price won't rise? Are you nervous with Kier's trading statement? Looks likely to fall imo!! Any bad news at all and this market is badly punishing share prices. And we all know lots can go wrong here!! With over 800 percent more shares than 6 years ago (55m to 446m), Kier will drop fast!! | wallywoo
13/7/2022 14:36 | Thanks very much, Stdyeddy. ...guess I should have looked! :) | gerhart
13/7/2022 14:00 | gerhart, Kier's trading statement is due out on 19 July (this coming Tuesday) according to Kier's own financial calendar on the Kier website: | stdyeddy
13/7/2022 13:27 | Kier is up on the daily chart. Kier is up on the weekly chart. Kier is up on the monthly chart. That suggests it may have bottomed out and now share price is recovering. Happy holder here :) | hamhamham1
13/7/2022 13:25 | Yawn Zico, get a life. | hamhamham1
13/7/2022 08:41 | Anyone know when next trading update is due? We had one at this point (until 30 June)last year? | gerhart
13/7/2022 08:24 | Heading back up? What chart are you looking at? We are hoveringvarounf critical support. If it breaks below 69p, could be 55 by September. | zicopele
13/7/2022 07:58 | this doom-mongering early doors by the trolls looks a bit desperate. share price seems to be heading back up. | itisonlymoney
13/7/2022 05:17 | Will be interesting to see which side of the line this will come down on. Some construction firms are flying and there are lots really struggling going bust or being brought for a notional £1 etc . I find it interesting that housing companies whose profits are plentiful are not racing ahead with large share price gains , but at least pay dividends, has the markets had enough of the whole of construction ?? I am hearing a lot of government and council spending being put on hold , which is causing a few problems, nervous times for all , but do believe a recession will be avoided | bathboy2
12/7/2022 19:47 | Things looking ugly. The telecoms projects have burned tens of millions and Kier withheld monies brutally in May and June from suppliers and subbies. Prepare for more very bad news. | zicopele
12/7/2022 14:42 | Nice buying today. Get the feeling sentiment is beginning to turn here. | ppreston1
12/7/2022 13:36 | 'forks, I think what's happening is that Kier's share price is moved easily due to low volume. Currently Kier is outside all of the main indices (FTSE 100/250/350) so there is no core trading to give stability to the price. So if a few shareholders reduce their Kier holding because they are reducing their holdings in a sector/market generally, it has a disproportionate effect on the share price Same with buying, which is why Kier has made some big moves up at various times. And although we here have followed Kier closely for three years, and understand that the business has been refinanced and reorganised and should return to profitability comparable to its peers, the investment community generally is oblivious to this until the numbers come through and still views Kier as a risk stock, a view which was formed when the last management team managed to hollow-out the finances of the business through huge dividend payments and poor accounting. The next two reporting periods are Kier's opportunity to show that all of the writedowns, cost-cutting, asset sales and refinancing will produce dependable profits and cash. Meanwhile a recession threatens the entire market, not to mention the ongoing European war, which is a trigger for that recession although not its sole cause. It will take solid financial performance to show that the new management team has turned things around here. I think we are on the cusp of that, and the share price happens to be very low, so I am buying again here from time to time. | stdyeddy |
