23/12/2014 11:02 | That's exactly what I would expect Carvill to say. I don't think you are the ventriloquist so you must be the dummy. Carvill has taken £2m a year which is good remuneration for driving a great project into the ground. I doubt he's put anything like that into Kenmare. Your suggestion that he has worked 30 years for very little is outrageous and untrue. He's been very well rewarded for failure. I agree Kenmare will have had a positive impact on that area of Moz but just imagine how much more impact it would have been if it had been an expanding vibrant going concern. Don't expect anyone to believe that Carvill did it all for the benefit of the locals. Nobody could be that gullible. | sg31

22/12/2014 10:54 | Carvill is a complete failure on $800k + 150% bonus a year, he has milked this company dry for 10years now, the man should be castigated not praised, he and his cohorts make one bad decision after another getting paid millions to screw up, and don't tell me the paddy dug the hole in Moz with his own spade. | bh61
22/12/2014 09:40 | Come off it Irelands not that bad. Carvill got well paid for the suffering. Pay me several million a year and I won't mind a few years suffering in an Irish wine bar. | sg31

19/12/2014 06:34 | 0022 GMT [Dow Jones] Mineral sands producer Iluka Resources's (ILU.AU) decision to end its U.S. operations by late 2015 strengthens the likelihood that it will take another look at Kenmare Resources (JEV.DB), says Deutsche Bank. Iluka has been circling Kenmare since at least June when it confirmed making a takeover approach. In mid-October, Iluka said it remained in talks with Kenmare about a deal. Deutsche analyst Chris Terry says it would consider an Iluka bid for Kenmare favorably at the right price from a strategy perspective. "While there is still uncertainty in the business, we see fundamental value," Deutsche says, upgrading the stock to buy from hold. ILU last traded at A$6.17, below Deutsche's new A$7.40/share price target. 10/12/2014 14:37 | bought and sold numbers mean nothing. Each deal has a buyer and a seller. The deal is allocated as a buy or sell depending on whether it's above or below the mid price. That decision isn't made necessarily at the time of the deal so if the price is rising or falling it can skew the figures. Or something like that... | sg31 |
