Posted at 11/3/2025 19:50 by creditcrunchies Looks like an improved offer is brewing because the valuation now after this rise is still extremely cheap. 0.43 price to book0.43 Price to tangible book |
Posted at 07/3/2025 13:07 by creditcrunchies They (KMR) do actually have a book value of over 1000p so you can see it is a low ball offer. They have net assets of $1.1 Billion. I think they only to go a bit higher to 580-600p and shareholders will take the offer because it's above the share price performance. The market cap of £350 Million shows this is extremely cheap. They don't want to do a Serica where an amazing bid came in, the board rejected it, the shares crashed from 450p to 120p. That ended up wth members of the BoD getting sacked. |
Posted at 06/3/2025 23:14 by tempted Unsurprisingly following recent share price performance,(not reflected in recent years of solid financial performance with no dilution - Stocko value 98! Quality 75) holder fidelity would have taken the offer, the bid from the consortium with ex-founder adds real insider knowledge, who appears to recognise a much higher valuation, be surprised if another bid isn't submitted - will continue to hold."We have been hold-rated on Kenmare since 2023, since which point the shares have fallen circa 37%, with the view that free cash flow generation will be limited while it progresses further life-of-mine extension projects," it said. "Our risked NAV stands at 448p per share, and our unrisked NAV stands at 585p per share. Mr Carvill knows the business incredibly well, having been its CEO from 1987 until leaving the company last year. "In our view, the 530p per share all-cash bid was very compelling (which we would have taken) and we note that the best share price seen in recent history was 526p per share in 2022. |
Posted at 06/3/2025 14:27 by acevalue On this occasion the judgement that the buyers and sellers are making is relatively crude when you think about it, it's simply the middle point (roughly) between the (rejected) offer price, and yesterday's closing price. To add to this, IMO, if the deal doesn't go through I think that the stock will drop to something much higher than 275p, because maybe someone else will come in with another, better offer at some point. Anyone who purchases this stock today, should do it on the basis as to whether it makes sense even if the takeover were not to go through, and you've paid circa 400p for the stock. I've purchased today based on this assumption that if the deal were not to go through it would still make sense at the current price. Although I would like the deal to go ahead where everyone is happy. We have up to 6 weeks or so to find out. |
Posted at 06/3/2025 14:00 by stemis The offer was rejected and if the bidders don't come back with a higher offer then it will (I imagine) fail. The price will then fall. So the 390p is the Expected Monetary Value of 3 possibilitiesA% x 530p (bid goes ahead) B% x ? (bid goes ahead at some higher offer) C% x ? (bid fails and prices settles as some lower value) Obviously no-one has worked out that formula, it's just the combination of buyers and sellers making a judgement between the 3 outcomes |
Posted at 06/3/2025 11:32 by gobbie100 I think the take out at 530p or above would be a great outcome for investors. Clearly undervalued but large capital needs over next few years would likely keep share price under its real value and may impact division. I would happily take the 530 and move that money on to a new opportunity |
Posted at 26/2/2025 13:08 by mineinterests re dividend certificates from ii for Dividend Withholding Tax refund.I found ii very helpful in responding to my request for several "Certificate of income tax deducted." Each certificate supplied (one per dividend received) had all the info needed and was signed by two Director/Authorised personnel and over-stamped with the paper imprint company seal of INTERACTIVE INVESTOR SERVICES NOMINEES LIMITED. I requested 5 certificates at once. Ii might be less helpful for relatively small 'one-off' claims. My wife and I have a large number of KMR shares held in ISAs with iI. Once I have completed the HMRC online form for a "certificate of residence in the UK", which I understand can replace the local tax office counter signatory on Irish Tax and Customs form V2A, I will be in a position to claim using the Irish Tax and Customs form for DWT reclaim by a non-resident of the Republic of Ireland. |
Posted at 10/1/2025 20:44 by robmcelf2 Yes KMR share price near 3 year lows and I'm not sure that is warranted. I guess it must reflect concern over the next WCP A move to Nataka in late 2025? I guess once that is sorted then no moves needed for a very long time. |
Posted at 18/11/2023 14:41 by robmcelf2 I think KMR share price has 2 big share price drivers in 2024 1. The trailing PE is 2.2 - that's unbelievably low - must be one of the lowest in the FTSE? Not sure why it's so low but with decent production lying ahead of us, no obvious spikes in opex and market pricing unlikely to collapse, re-rating must be possible 2. Divi yield of 12% at this price is mouth watering. Does anyone see other drivers? |
Posted at 02/9/2023 08:54 by robmcelf2 Hopefully the KMR share price should move forward a bit on 11 September after the tender offer price of 422 expires.. |
