Nothing new here. Ilmenite is on a slow trend up. Zircon likely to be on a faster cantor. Natural response is to try to low-ball offers before the true perception of value sets in (coming in first half and full year 2018 results). Moma is selling to other industry key players (TiZir, Chemours, RBM, L&B, ...). I can understand the attractiveness of the value being clouded by the prospect of single sourcing. That's a commercially solvable problem. Might suggest a JV or risk sharing approach.

Key shareholders of MDL are saying:
MDL has put their foot on a strategic resource, they have spent the Capex, they are producing into a serious market.

Anyone who wants control of the JV needs to pay for that control. The offer is substantially below replacement cost of the JVs capital equipment.

MDL letter to shareholders - reject the offer:
Your board believes MDL is at the beginning of a strong period of free cash flow generation, debt reduction and subsequent cash distributions.

That is for starters

Last chance week for Lender shares to get placed - I don’t see it happening in the 4 days lead in to AGM. Volume this week is key.

Same nonsense from same posters now for years; management this, prices that, net profit the other. Not qualified to invest. $259m revenue with $103m EBITDA. Per Capasoka, will come down to exactness in both pricing and volume shipped. No real point in iterative forecasting or arguing with the dysfunctional from here. The story will take care of itself. Main thing to watch now is the trend in product prices.

AGM 2 weeks today. 9 trading days to go. It’s not going according to my plan for sure. Come on lads - sort this boring tedious mess out please

Looks like last week’s volume has fizzled out. Small director buys seems more like window dressing / managing perception than courage of conviction of backing the horse. Frustrating times

I would not be surprised to see a large ice-berg or similar posted after the close. Shares moving at the ask at the moment.

Good sign. Suspect he also wanted to avoid any shareholder confrontation at AGM that directors may not be heavily enough financially committed.

Also decent volume today. 2 lots of 75k, a 25k and some smaller parcels. Volume precedes price movement - up or down ....

Pays your money; takes your pick.

The Iluka approach last time was blocked by 2 holders 20% and 6%, so that suggests 75% required for special situation. I keep telling you - if I don’t like, it don’t happen ! And you call me SFB, hmm but agree on bell-end.
All that chat on LSE about T/O is total and utter tripe !!

Gee whizz, that guy Bucklerfern don’t half miss the point over on LSE:

“Keep in mind that M&G and SGRF have 51% of the company so nobody does anything without their approval. Our MD gets to have face time with both. If someone wanted the board of directors out they'd be long gone.”

My 9.8% holds the balance of power - it ain’t gonna happen unlesss I want it 2...
