03/11/2022 10:50 | The ridiculous Chinese zero covid policy isn't helping either as their economy has slowed dramatically and their new housing situation is dire. As a result demand for metals has dropped and there's no obvious light at the end of Chairman Xi's tunnel.Even the majors have been hit but at least they have rebounded to an extent. All in all it's delaying JLP's recovery and the market's perception of its near term prospects. | husbod
03/11/2022 09:33 | Whilst you may be right as to why people may be thinking that way, the reality is that, despite the dollar price erosion, the FX shift as Sterling has weakened has offset it with regard declared earnings in £GBP. Plus the fact that JLP doesn't have a steady output, like eg CAML, where price erosion will have a large impact, JLPs revenues are set to rise very significantly, as new operations mature, regardless of falling dollar commodity prices so the comapny performance is bound to get considerably better. To me it is simnply an example of the company being misunderstood by small and large investors alike, too lazy to do the work. But for those that have the future is undoubtedly bright! | sb
03/11/2022 08:08 | You only have to look at the trend in metals in the short term to realise why Jubilee is where it is - (11.6p) even allowing for improved operating costs the margins are getting thinner by the day, the basket price is eroding confidence, and of course copper is way off its highs of May 2021 ($10,700) Jubilee's share price has retraced 40% during the melt down from earlier in the year (Ukraine) I don't think LC has much/any control over world events or metal pricing. Just have to sit it out and be patient. In a years time 11.6p might look like a bargain - I will remember I said that - LOL EDIT : got my maths wrong its 40% ! tintin | 9tintin
02/11/2022 16:34 | Some still do rate LC highly: | philby1
02/11/2022 16:32 | And the use in your's was? You seem to want daily to highlight your perceived risks associated with the company, and that IYO the price is going to break down, whilst promoting other players. Comparing JLP to IMP or NPH is comparing eggs to fish. If you don't accept where the company is and what it has done to create a diversified platform for the future, unlike any of the other companies you will be referring to, then maybe you should be putting your money into those instead? As for the technicals, Zak Mir seems to have quite a different view to you: Not sure where you got the 4 top gainers from either as the top 2 are a retailer and an Iron ore producer: | sb
02/11/2022 16:22 | I had high hopes for JLP and rated L.C. Can't understand how this stock is so weak and disliked. I must be missing something. Must say this is another Co. that doesn't seem to care about the Share Price, happy to believe that value will out whenever that will be. That can be frustrating for shareholders. I'm always surprised that directors don't feel more ownership for the share price and see weakness as a reflection on their ability to inform the market.Unless of course it is linked to their reward strategy and a low price suits their needs. | plasybryn

02/11/2022 13:49 | SB not as much as seem fixated on replying with useless derogatory comments. | lights out
02/11/2022 13:36 | You seem very fixated with the day to day share price Lights Out...? | sb
02/11/2022 13:13 | Top 4 gainers on the JSE today are all platinum producers. And they up now 20 percent over the last month yet Jlp is down over the same period. WTF has happened to JLP share price. Stuck in the 11s for 2 months now. | lights out
02/11/2022 08:32 | The Uncrossing Transaction UT of 2060 shares was @ 13.08, 16:35, which caused the spike. These auctions are nonsense for small caps, you quite often see up days and down days caused by small auction trades that are nowhere near the last trades of the day. This is an extreme example. | slopsjon2
02/11/2022 08:17 | Can't help thinking that JLP is too depressed at the moment. Although I have a large holding here, I'm topping up with a long term view. I hope I don't get scalped, but I think that JLP is in a strong position going fwd over the next 3-5 years. | 2vdm
02/11/2022 07:29 | It would appear that the closing trade was a negotiated trade ECHO (echoed) from another exchange. 01/11/2022 18:40 | That volume on that link is the total volume traded today. The 13.08 was simply an uncrossed trade for 2060 shares. ADVFN will show us lower in the morning. The important figure is the bid price which is 11.5 | 21ant

01/11/2022 17:28 | Yes weird to be that far out price wise but it was only about £270 worth. Maybe the buyer forgot to put a limit on or was desperate for 2060 more shares :-) Seller did alright there though. | 21ant
01/11/2022 17:11 | Interesting uncrossing trade at 13.08p ... is that what you mean by a dog impression you prat? This MAY mean that tomnorrow on open it seems like the price has plummeted compared to this UT, so don't get alarmed. Not sure why this UT has happened at this price ...any ideas? | sb
