03/8/2021 17:41 | RBPlat hints at bumper final dividend on top of interim bonanza PGM miner declares R1.5bn payout at the half-way stage after fivefold surge in net cash 03 AUGUST 2021 - 08:33 KARL GERNETZKY UPDATED 03 AUGUST 2021 - 15:53 Shareholders of Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat) may be in store for a bumper final dividend in 2021 after the miner declared a R1.5bn interim payout that matched its maiden annual dividend last year, with the group still having money left in the kitty. Record prices for platinum group metals (PGMs) helped RBPlats quintuple its net cash to R3.6bn in its half year to end-June, with CFO Hanré Rossouw saying the interim dividend is unlikely to “steal the thunder” of the group’s final one. | gsg

03/8/2021 15:36 | Whilst share prices trend downwards for JLP,THS,SLP - the big SA miners are coming out with astounding cash and profit figures. Copper on LME is trending back up towards $10k tonne and Rh seems to have halted the slide from its peak and holds up well c$18k Platinum is trading sideways at about 1035 and Palladium holds 2600 - if these hold for the next 6 months, no reason to doubt it then expect these 3 to have big revals and lots of cash generation. This is a neat article on how Germany sees South Africa as integral to its power generation strategy hxxps://www.metalsda For me the developed economies are going to spend spend spend on PGMs in the next 24 months for sure. | cappajumping
03/8/2021 15:21 | looking at the trades this drop is scaring the ordure out of a lot of small holders. maybe that's the point. i still hold 1.7 mill 200k of which were a trade that turned into a hold | adejuk
03/8/2021 15:05 | If it is a whopper of a deal including building a whole new sable, the cannon could well feature but it would move the company on to a whole new level and after the groaning of the initial drop, the new forecasts would come forth and multiply the share price | the bull
03/8/2021 14:23 | apols ian. i guess after 20 years i must qualify as a short term trader:-) btw, that is not the point. this is an sme with very few income sources. i am not an accountant [thank the lord ] but i think even i could do a balance sheet for jlp. | adejuk
03/8/2021 14:18 | Ian .. 2nd that .. if Leon has loads on his plate that the RNS takes longer to get out then fine. I'd rather he was making sure the ounces and projects are moving forward. | kennyp52
03/8/2021 13:59 | Well said Ian. | freedom97
03/8/2021 13:57 | For goodness sake chaps, nothing to worry about here unless you are over-extended of course ! | frogkid
03/8/2021 13:49 | They are not here to benefit short term traders. So, if they are focusing on LT investors, the timing of news releases in relation to daily fluctuations in the share price is an irrelevance not an indication of incompetence. | iantrader2
03/8/2021 13:40 | And I am sure they will as they have have done before in August. | sb
03/8/2021 13:35 | sb. they can see the share price losing almost 20% in a month. they have access to prod and income figures yet they delay reporting. there is no allegation of corruption, simply incompetence. even if the figures are stunning they are complicit in allowing this drop drip to continue when they have the information to reverse it. if there is market sensitive info they are under an obligation to report it. | adejuk |
