28/7/2021 14:28 | there is no reason why we should but i hope we don't hav an slp moment. | adejuk
28/7/2021 14:21 | . . Sable Refinery concluded a long-term offtake agreement for third party Run-Of-Mine copper containing material targeting to ramp-up to an additional 150 tonnes of copper units per month by June 2021. Add to this Roan phase 1, targeting 240 tonnes of copper units. July should be well on track to produce 390 tonnes of copper units. W.H.Irelands' note gave guidance of $2 per lb for costs to produce, for Roan project copper units. At todays $4.35 per lb price of copper, that gives $2.35 per lb earnings or $5,264 per tonne. July copper earnings should be around $2,052,960. Cobalt is still a mystery, i am willing to ignore it at this stage, in part, to even up the higher costs associated with the run of mine material. Roan Phase 2 kicks in early Q3 which is a rise from 240 to 400 tonnes per month giving copper earnings of $2,895,200 per month. . . | bullster
28/7/2021 13:26 | Get Leo Prinsloo on the job, he'll look after it ;) | wet your knot
28/7/2021 13:07 | it's unlikely to be repeated. there will be armed security guards with every load from now on. | adejuk
28/7/2021 12:58 | I don't want to be negative but the rise in copper price also have a negative side to it, in Africa. During June and July this year 66 trucks loaded with copper cathode were highjacked...mainly in South Africa. | mikebolle
28/7/2021 12:32 | From the information provided publicly, it is my understanding the world is virtually at the peak of Copper production possible from known and anticipated reserves. This means there is nowhere to go to meet the undoubted extra demand resulting from the necessary move to Green Technology. Consequently, the price of Copper is bound to rise. The main problem, for World Governments, would seem to be that improving the use of Green Technology is not Country specific. One Country spends, not for itself (even though it might wish to), but for, effectively, the world as a whole. Once the world recognises this as being unavoidable, the world may truly come to grips with the problem. The price of Copper is bound to rise because of the potential inevitable shortfall in Copper production. | scrappycat
28/7/2021 12:26 | Personally I would be more than happy if they gave us only quarterly updates about production at the individual plants without attached financials - at least we would could make our own estimates of profitability. At the minute we have Inyoni, Inyoni 2, Windsor and Windsor 8 collectively with a huge nameplate capacity, but we don't know how fully they are being used ( as we own stockpiles I guess we should be able to use those to cover any gaps in the run of mine ore we are receiving ). Similarly have there been any significant stoppages for integration etc and is fine chrome installed or planned to be installed at each of the plants. | john185
28/7/2021 12:02 | From Bloomberg. Goldman Sachs analysts including Nicholas Snowdon reiterated their bullish copper price targets of $10,500, $11,000, and $11,500 in the next three, six and 12 months, citing tightness in the refined and concentrate markets. Their bullish outlook on the metal also stems from stricter policy announcements regarding EV adoption from the European Union, they said in a note. | gsg
28/7/2021 11:56 | Couldn't resist adding 50k @ 0.1785. Will I rue it or be pleased when we get RNS? | alpal2
28/7/2021 10:18 | I think there is a strong possibility that we will get the RNS tomorrow. But I'm not worried if we have to wait a bit longer. | freedom97
28/7/2021 10:03 | In his last web broadcast, Leon implied that a potentially lucrative deal with Zambia was on the cards. In these Covid driven times, who knows how long it takes to dot the Is and gross the Ts. If he intends to add the completion of such a potential deal to the 6 monthly update, then so be it. Just my speculation, of course. | scrappycat
28/7/2021 09:58 | Good point, Freedom.. It does rather spike the ability of the get rich quick mob to trade the news... | sb
28/7/2021 09:42 | If II's were worried about the 6 month operations update not being released same time as last year, I'm sure they would phone Leon. Leon is most likely very busy working to complete a big deal, so more important for him to complete that as soon as possible, than use valuable time to get the 6 month update out. Remember, if you plan to stay invested to see the company continue it's rapid growth then far better to let Leon focus on getting good deals done. The quicker deals are done the faster the company will grow and the higher the share price will go. So we ALL benefit. Of course traders will not be happy, as they want to see spikes in share price to sell for a quick profit and probably some bought around 12th thinking the update would be released same as last year. It looks like many of them sold yesterday. Onwards and Upwards from here methinks. | freedom97
28/7/2021 09:39 | All I can think is there is something they would like announced before or added to the report. Just get it out and move on Leon, don't push me back into dog mode lol | deme1
28/7/2021 09:35 | That is weak imo, and I said so to Leon at the time. Maybe they should call the JLP reporting standard "The Jubilee Way". Anyway, lets see when it arrives. | gsg
28/7/2021 09:34 | I agree after 10/12.years and 400%up what does another day/week or too matter all keep positive this is going to rocket at some stage let's keep this board positive cheers guys | markray
28/7/2021 09:33 | No commitment to at what point after the six monthly period this will be issued. I'm fairly tolerant with what for me is still a very LTH. To be fair though I would start to feel a bit frustrated probably by the end of next week. | wet your knot
28/7/2021 09:30 | From 2019: Reporting timetable going forward With the rapidly widening project footprint in terms of mining jurisdictions, and commodity basket, as well as an active expansion plan, the Board has, in consultation with a number of major shareholders, concluded that it will in future present a more detailed consolidated operational and financial review on a six monthly period while continuing with a more frequent project update. As the business continues to mature, the Board believes this will provide shareholders with a more detailed view of the Company’s operational and project performance. | wet your knot
28/7/2021 09:17 | Hi wyk, The point imo, is that six month reporting standards are poor enough when most other companies report quarterly. To then not be able to present the 6 monthlies within in a timely manner is simply not up to the current standard and makes them look slapdash and chaotic, from what is otherwise a really progressive company. | gsg
28/7/2021 09:10 | GSG, possibly but I don't think they need to commit to a timeline and in such a transformational period for the business why would they? At what point does investor impatience become company negligence (not quite the right word)? I don't post very often but i've held JLP for 3 years or more so another 3 days or 3 weeks doesn't concern me as long as the content is positive. | wet your knot
28/7/2021 09:03 | gsg, correct. Hope they are not cooking the books. | ottod
28/7/2021 09:03 | wyk . That makes the reporting standard they are operating by even worse. lol | gsg
28/7/2021 09:02 | How can something be delayed if there's no specified timeline for its arrival? | wet your knot |
