10/4/2019 16:19 | Thanks Platt, I was caught by the 2pm chime on one occasion, cost me dearly on an execution only and I stupidly had instructed a third party, they denied all liability. | fireball xl5

10/4/2019 16:07 | Transact defo do it.. I've done some work for Integrated Finacial Services and had my portfolio there for a while. Moved in the end as i didn't like how they aggregated stock instructions with winterflood. They only went to market once a day at 2pm you had to just trust that broker was giving transact the best price. When i was at Transact, the product switch fee was 0.25% | plat hunter

10/4/2019 16:03 | Blimey frog that’s alienation on mass. I’d duck, you won’t be seeing any welcoming gestures from the fairer folk. | fireball xl5
10/4/2019 16:01 | Thanks Platt, someone like Transact, execution only. | fireball xl5
10/4/2019 15:58 | Platty, to be fair, she is a woman. Probably on the rag. That makes them change their mind a lot. Plus she is probably menopausal, so confused as well. I am speaking from experience as I am a gender neutral, gender bending, binary, non binary, bipolar,LGBTe | frogkid
10/4/2019 15:56 | Sorry Fireball further to that. The above is based on being an execution only client. If you are using a platform that your advisor introduced you too then they may take a switch fee also but in the same ball park. | plat hunter
10/4/2019 15:54 | No problem Fireball.. Depends on your broker or platform but anywhere in the region of 0.20-0.30% would be typical. Quite a difference over paying two dealing charges and being subjected to a spread, even if it is discounted. | plat hunter
10/4/2019 15:51 | Platt, hope you don’t mind if I appropriate your last two posts to share. What would be a normal fee for a Wrapper switch, £25? | fireball xl5
10/4/2019 15:48 | Class action for the 52% duped by a snake oil salesman would be a winner. Poor bigoted lot might redeem something from their self inflicted mess. | fireball xl5
10/4/2019 15:45 | Platty, any chance you could take on a class action against the Speaker of the House of Commons and also that criminal Labour MP whose name I cannot pronounce, Oh and Yvette Cooper as well! | frogkid
10/4/2019 15:42 | Then I apologise if that's the case Losta, it just seemed a little directed that's all. Like I said above though, if your broker has been executing Bed & ISA transactions on the market then you would have been needlessly, financially disadvantaged and your broker has an obligation to return you to what would be your correct position. | plat hunter
10/4/2019 15:40 | If you're Bed & Isa's are going to the market then you could be entitled to compensation. Calculated as the difference the spread plus fee's over the standard published switch fee plus interest. Given that I'm a fully qualified solicitor, i'd happily take on a group action for everyone who's been paying too much for the Bed & ISA's. @20k a year allowance, you could be owed quite a few quid that would buy you more JLP tokens. | plat hunter
10/4/2019 15:39 | PH Freedom was merely asking if such trades show on the advfn trades page which they do. | lostabillion
10/4/2019 15:39 | as PLatty says, one can contact ones broker and ask to sell the stock outside your ISA and buy it back within. there will be a slight difference in price but not as much as if you were actually physically selling and buying back. I know from experience that it does not show up as I experienced this myself earlier in the year as some of you will have noted. The quantity may be slightly different depending on what extra funds you have in your ISA at that time. When you see a buy and sell for the same quantity but at slightly differing prices it is likely a rollover. And one more thing to bear in mind that large transactions can mislead the market, such as yesterday, because they do not have to be reported at the time the deal was struck. It could be a few days later... Cheers, frog | frogkid
10/4/2019 15:12 | Freedom, Given it's forum for the exchange of information for our mutual benefit. I'll try again for you. A Bed and ISA is a wrapper switch. IT IS NOT a sale and purchase. it is just merely recorded as such in your dealing accounts purely for the purposes of crystalisation. If you'd rather pay more just for the privilege of calling up a call center to pretend your some Fox of Paternoster Square then my advice for saving you a few quid on the process is moot. Up to you, take as it is, or be a nob about it. Either way not as fussed as you are about it, considering that's your second directed message on the subject, inside a week. | plat hunter
