Saw this on another BB:

Government Petition to Ban shorting of London AIM stocks.

The AIM stock market is where smaller companies list their shares rather than using the prohibitively expensive main London Stock Market. This is an important market for the growth of smaller UK companies.

In challenging times, shorters seek to borrow the company's shares from a holder for a consideration and to buy them at a later date. They immediately sell these shares which, due to the relative illiquid market, sends the price much lower and hence the shorters can buy them at that lower price - pocketing the difference. The only beneficiaries are the shorters and the market makers with the losers being the reputable company and it's bona fide investors.

Time to ban toobs I reckon, everyone knows it's Kryptons other account, if he wants to post, make him pay for the privilege.

Doubt he will though, he can't afford two premium accounts after busting his nuts on BMR

The knife has two blades though, you can draw a line for the close to 12 months from 2.4 to 2.45.

BMR selling has created a floor in the JLP sp, in my view and a strong base over 12 months. JLP have also made great progress in those 12 months as well as acquiring new assets. This has not yet been recognised by the market, however come the UK investor show at the end of this with he half yearly and quarterly update in the bag, then it could be a different matter.

This will be the first update where we will see empirical evidence of the progress, the only possible problem that I can see here in the short term, is just how much BMR will soak up any new interest?

toobs1, how do you know BMR are selling the remainder of shares they hold. As I said before, if they aren't desperate to sell, then makes perfect sense to hold and reap the rewards of higher share price in the future. Why sell @2.5p-ish when you might be able to sell at over 10p later this year if all goes to plan.

Ok fantastic,we have all come to the conclusion that bmr still have 21 million shares to sell down( a placing is totally out of the question). How long is that going to take at current daily sells, end of 2019?

.
.

BMR's lock-in period for holding JLP shares ended on 20/01/2019

BMR must observe the rule of keeping an orderly market on share sales and give the broker of the company, not less than 20 business days to provide matching buyers for the shares offered for sale.

"What is the excuse now then for a sideways crawling Jubilee share price?"

If you check the following RNS, you will see BMR shareholdings have dropped below 3% as of 14/12/18, which means they don't have to report when they sell now.

Recently the share price has started to increase, so could mean either BMR have sold all, or have decided to keep the balance of their holdings as a good investment here, if they aren't still desperate for money.

JLP have been spending large amounts of cash to buy assets, which have a negative effect on the share price.

There will be a lag between the new assets expenditure and an income being derived from them.

New assets include:
DCM...Fine chrome machinery, other machinery upgrades
PLATCRO..Acquisition of operation, Dewatering equipment, transport costs to Eland
KABWE...Construction works,new technical centre

Extra workforce for all the above.

With interims due after a record period of overall project earnings the recent spending may have a disproportionate impact on group profit.

Then again, we may still show a profit and i still expect the share price to double before August at the latest.
