Hi ade, not sure that's cheered me up ! Regarding JLP, not sure we have ever been kept so much in the dark. Disgraceful comms. Disgusting way to treat shareholders. The board must be held to account.

one of the comforting things about the end of life is the knowledge that everyone who has ever lived has gone there before you.
it's the same with investing. work it out.
be well, fellow old sufferer.
edit
gone before you - and not one has complained :-)

I'm sure I did as well isolator but to keep griping on and on about it and coming up with wild specualtive reasons is not doing anyone a favour.I doubt the lack of info has done much damage as there are still some fairly heavy buyers and as I said on there we have mostly tracked the PGM basket down in line with Sylvania since May. All we can do is wait and see.

To be fair on the other bb I think most of us expected some kind of update on if we are commissioning or not which would have been nice to know,it would have eased the tension around at the moment

I don't think they are adding much value to the share price at this current moment but that is down to the focus by shareholders on Roan. We do still appear to track PGM's though and until copper is coming through in decent volume that won't change. Roan up and running could well finally see us break away from PGM's on the chart. You're right about chrome, it's not as easy to keep track of and nobody seems to give it the credit/value it clearly deserves.
I know one thing, we owe chrome a lot over the last 18 months - it's kept us going and has become a real backbone of the company.

Hope you're right; any news, even if it says 'Commissioning delayed.'

Ant, whilst Plat and Pall prices going up won't hurt do you think they make that much difference to the share price here? At the last 6 month financial update they only make up 14% of our GP. Chrome is the big one (over 70% of GP) but I can never find a good source for pricing on chrome like with other metals.

Shev - What's going on I think is that by opening the spread (5% or more, most of the day) and squashing the actual trading range into the bottom half of the spread means that almost every transaction is then reported as a Sell; thus masking the steady accumulation of Buys throughout the day. On this basis I would anticipate that anything in the 6.88 to 7.00 pence range were Buys. It's also notable that the higher volume/value transactions appeared in this higher range supporting the idea that a largish order was being filled.

Pshevlin they kept dropping the bid but holding the ask at 7.2. As soon as they drop the ask to 7.0 those trades show as a buy and it ticks back up again. They're trying to make a market and it seems that a 7p ask is the current level people are prepared to buy in at.
As freedom says copper has turned back up again. The last couple of days Plat and Pall have also started to climb a bit so lets see what tomorrow brings. It's all treading water until the Roan update is out.

The important thing here is that the price of Copper has started going back up the past few days.

Hi shevvers , the main reason I sold some the other week was the SA situation which now seems resolved. I still think Roan not solved. I have bought back half.Frog

One or two seem to be people bed and breakfasting or some other kind of flipping. I assume you are gaining a little more confidence froggers. I got about 70k yesterday at just 7.0. It's all a bit barmy.

Shevvers, this can happen when the mms want to take the excitement out the market. It is rather odd. I picked up a few more today at 7.03. Frog

21ant, perhaps you can explain why the indicative prices are 6.8 to 7.20 but all the trading is taking place within a narrow band at the bottom of that range? I can't make much sense of it.

Price seems to be being managed to suite a large buyer. Sell price is 6.91 at the moment for 200k. All mushrooms back in the dark.
