Mopani Copper Mines, a cornerstone of Zambia’s mining industry, took center stage as President Hakainde Hichilema officially unveiled its new strategic equity partner, International Resources Holding.
President Hakainde Hichilema has officially unveiled International Resources Holding, the new strategic equity partner for Mopani Copper Mines.

Speaking during the unveiling ceremony in Kitwe yesterday, President Hichilema said the occasion marks a significant turnaround for the economy of not only the Copperbelt but the country as a whole.

Simon Thompson wrote about them late February. Given all that's happening to copper prices I can't imagine that JLP will be at this level for much longer. In addition to which, the chart suggests a nice new bottom at 5p, quite well tested.

While risks remain of course in both geography and execution.

Even if JLP is only producing 5k tons the recent rise puts another 5mill dollars onto the bottom line. Think of what that means when we are in full production.

KennyPoint is the Birdman talked the talk but ended up only ever being a one hit wonder. For the rest he retired a wealthy man, leaving most his PIs waiting till doomsday, for their "jam tomorrow"

Fascinating that both HUM and JLP are exactly the same bid and ask , someone ain't going to be happy.

Its on the back burner I think Frog; the IRH ROM deal has overtaken it as the copper content of the rock is 1.5 - 3%, not 0.3% like the tailings..... But I agree a progress update on the tests of the use of the reagent would be good as at some point we have 300 mill tonnes of tailings to get through .... ;)

So what happened to the glycine testing?

Until we prove we can produce substantial amounts of copper at decent profit then this share is still tied by the market to PGM prices … fact or just opinion … take a look at the charts above 🤷‍a94;️

OK shevvers, let's not concern ourselves with minutiae such as missed deadlines.

If they are still in the middle of discussions there will be radio silence. We are talking big money here.

Unfortunately our faith is being tested again. When are these bozos hoping to learn that they need to keep the market updated? Maybe a blockbuster deal is being prepared....

Don't forget, the deadline also applies to the IRH. With this deal it takes two to tango and missing the deadline may well not be JLPs fault. Once lawyers are involved it can take time. I'm looking forward to Leons take on it either today or next week.

And initial deadline was end Feb. Two deadlines missed. If you don't hit self imposed deadlines, you usually get sacked. In this case its just long suffering shareholders getting whacked.
C'mon someone buy us for 20 and put us out of our misery.

There was a deadline sb, and you are in denial. Middle of March was a week ago.
