06/7/2022 14:36 | And whisper it... what about the Cobalt..? | sb
06/7/2022 14:19 | It would be great to see Mr Slater adding at these prices | frogkid
06/7/2022 14:01 | I think too many are focussed on copper here when to all intents it has never been priced in. The last spike was for developments in platignum group metals and gold is not going to lose its value in a recession. Add to that the fact that we will be producing more of it. A lot of the present price drop imo is to do with cheaply aquired shares in place of debt being flogged of at any old price. Someone is of course hoovering these up, who? They know a bargain when they see it. | pshevlin
06/7/2022 13:38 | Don't think there will be colossal downturn deme but I cannot see much share price progress here or anywhere else in this sector. Disappointing considering the global shortage of Cu etc. Unfortunately not much JLP can do apart from pick up cheap stockpiles during this so called recession. 6 months from now we will literally be laughing! | frogkid
06/7/2022 09:41 | Just HAD to have a few. Let's see where it goes. | pshevlin
06/7/2022 08:36 | we had the y/e update on aug 6th last year | adejuk
05/7/2022 16:36 | At least this gives me a chance to buy at a silly price again.Ditched all my Unit Trusts a few months ago and sitting on the cash.Oh dear, when to buy???? | pshevlin
05/7/2022 16:36 | deme ... for the very reasons I have given. It's a one trick pony with no plans for growth. | sb
05/7/2022 16:31 | There won't be a recession in solar farm installation though and more EV vehicles from all the car manufacturers rather than just a handful. Now the whole of europe will want to be less reliant on russia, I am expecting a bright future | the bull
05/7/2022 16:15 | SLP are making a shed full of cash and are still falling. nothing to do with cash, more a market correction with metals taking a hammering due to talks of a recession JLP will not be immune sadly | deme1
05/7/2022 15:15 | "The only thing JLP needs is cash.." and this is based on ? The more cash we have the faster we can grow as we have productive uses for it ...unlike SLP. I didn't say we are short of cash. | sb
05/7/2022 15:01 | Au contraire Tintin old chum. I sold 5% of my holding back in the early 15s when I was scolded for intimating that we might see a 13 in the share price I am now looking to buy them back. Lostda is the one with a yacht ! Frog | frogkid
05/7/2022 14:53 | "The only thing JLP needs is cash.." and this is based on ? | adejuk
05/7/2022 14:18 | SLP are a one trick pony with no strategic plans to derisk or grow...hardly surprising. JLP are diversified and have well established plans to do both. The only thing JLP needs is cash....which SLP has but doesn't know what to do with it other than give it back to the shareholders which isn't best use. | sb
05/7/2022 13:34 | Would make a great takeover target for JLP..... ;) | sb
05/7/2022 12:24 | SLP is starting to look like a good punt. How low will it go? | pshevlin
05/7/2022 11:45 | Both Copper and JLP sitting at very strong support levels.... Funny how when someone sells they are desperate for their "view" to be supported by downward prices... :) | sb
05/7/2022 10:54 | Another know all destined for the filter bin. Gawd help us when they turn up here on little 'ol Jubilee. Trickle down continues, Froggy must be twitching over the sell button LOL Guess he's on hols in the Med, soaking up the sun in Monaco on his yacht. tintin | 9tintin
05/7/2022 09:24 | kenny Why is that when a realistic appraisal of where Jubilee are currently positioned in the grander scheme of things - brings about the response that someone has be shorting the share in question. For the record I have NEVER shorted a share in my life. Short to mid term the macro economics are controlling Jubilee's prospects - as for £50M (I assume you mean profit) - dream on !! As I suggested there is little in the short term (six months) that's going to change things radically and get us back to the previous highs - it just ain't going to happen. The chart says it all - ZZZZZZZZ tintin | 9tintin
05/7/2022 09:02 | Yes Tintin .. really worrying isn’t it .. might only be making £50m this year .. the prices will come back when world production kicks back in . A few of the weaker miners might disappear in the meantime and the supply tighten up pushing the prices back up to their highs. No real concerns here imho .. just those of a shorter hoping JLP will follow SLP by the looks of it . | kennyp52
05/7/2022 08:47 | Weak metal prices are affecting even SLP who have lost 13% this week so far, all those buy backs didn't help!! In the circumstances JLP are holding up - FOR NOW,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Didn't think the Mkt Cap would drop below £400M but it has. So much for Mid Cap status Birdy. Guess it's bottom drawer time for JLP, as I can't see anything on the horizon to kick start the SP, though no doubt the dreamers will tell me otherwise. tintin | 9tintin
