18/10/2012 10:39 | Well you say that but there is a large element of luck involved in trying to pick the absolute bottom. I bought EXI a while back prior to their results which were not that impressive, I sold out for about a 6% gain and then watched as the share price rallied by 50% over the next few months! I would not be unhappy with being in JKX at 80p but I can't afford to let a decent chunk of my capital sit doing nothing for 3-6 months especially when there is no divi. I will keep JKX on my monitor but it would appear that there will be no real momentum on the upside for a while. The thing making me nervous across the board is the current frothy levels of the FTSE and Dow. I am unclear how we can justify the FTSE closing in on 6000 again given the current economic situation. | salpara111
17/10/2012 18:01 | Well held off, Salpara. I tend to get in too early. We might yet se a triple bottom here before market starts to believe. You'll have your chance then.. | brucie5
17/10/2012 17:21 | The only bit of the IMS yesterday that led me to look at taking a stake was the projection of hitting 10,000 boepd in Q4......still well short of their long targeted production volume but a decent improvement on where they were. Have to say that I am surprised by the weakness today so I will just hold off for the moment. | salpara111
17/10/2012 16:40 | Seems like it only wants to go back down, and this is with shares at all time highs. | 2bung
17/10/2012 09:06 | Hmm, quite weak this morning which I wasn't expecting. Holding off the buy button at the moment. I would rather pay more knowing that the uptrend is still intact than get in right away. | salpara111

16/10/2012 18:58 | Hmm, I have been sitting on the fence here for some time. The market seems to be more impressed than I was with the ims so I think that means that I should take a stake. Will see how it behaves tomorrow and then dip my toe in. | salpara111
16/10/2012 12:42 | The most undervalued oiler on the market imo | 2bung
16/10/2012 11:50 | In at 81, small time. Let's see if this is the beginning of the long awaited reversal. | brucie5
16/10/2012 11:40 | Very happy with today's IMS. Not only have rates stabilised but there are plenty of other things to look forward too in the coming months. | professor x
16/10/2012 10:26 | Shorters will have to run for cover soon :) | 2bung
16/10/2012 09:37 | A few BUY notes out this morning, well done to the company for getting that RNS out early. | 2bung
16/10/2012 09:21 | Salpara. There was no finance news in that IMS but at the half year they had a: Revenue $103M and Op Profit of $31M and Production of 7481 bpd (compared to 7740 in Q3). Oil and gas prices are similiar to Q1 and Q2. Of course they need an export license for their russian gas to get good prices for that. Should come soon IMO | wallywoo
16/10/2012 09:16 | Surely the only way can be up from here? | 2bung
16/10/2012 09:11 | Does anyone know if they are still profitable with the large drop in average oil and gas price? | salpara111
16/10/2012 08:41 | IMS out a month earlier than expected. Agree, wallywoo, Russian field looking very good. | g8ta
16/10/2012 07:43 | IMS looks pretty good to me. Production down as expected but Russian field now looking good. I expect a bounce in the share price today. Could this be a double bottom? Hope and think so. | wallywoo
11/10/2012 17:08 | as my broker enjoys saying "there is better value elsewhere" | peter27
11/10/2012 16:51 | It even manages to fall on a very positive day like today, you'd have to wonder is there something up. | 2bung
10/10/2012 17:57 | Added a few more at the end. Any hint of a turnaround in production and this will fly. Even if production does stay flat while they address issues the share is only on a PE of 3!! | professor x
10/10/2012 17:46 | looks an ideal share to short! | peter27
10/10/2012 17:25 | Been watching and waiting for a while but it would appear that it may have another run at a new low. Hopefully the next update can show that production is once again on the up which should provide some support. | salpara111
10/10/2012 13:24 | What a poor share. Just how low can it go? | 2bung
02/10/2012 17:08 | Worth watching how the 80 support holds. Then I'd be looking for the a rise above the 100ma. It made a false recovery in March, for which I think it's now being punished. Compare this (incomplete) trend reversal on EXI. | brucie5 |
