Do explain how you think this can possibly be worth 15 quid giving a market capitalisation of approaching 3.5 billion. The dilution has ruined the story here, not the companies fault, but there we are.

The Leeds Bradford Airport Approval timing is no coincidence. It's a brilliant move by this brilliant company.Government keep telling us its "illegal" to go on holiday. Yesterday they say "don't book any holidays". Jet2 will loose all those Easter holiday makers.Jet2 decides to cover themselves with a placing to strengthen their position. Go on, tell me you can't arrange a share placing that quick. But I tell you you can. With no Thomas Cook and EasyJet holidays not yet fully established Jet2 bookings will be sky high the second lockdown ends.Back to £14 - £15 in no time. They do still have bills to pay but with all staff furloughed and a tiny fuel bill they will easily survive this.Anyone who has been on a Jet2 package Holiday will know how fantastic their service is.

I was close. Very close.

Banks again have forced this in my opinion

215 million shares now in issue after 420 million raised at £11.80 (20% increase in equity). That puts the market cap at approx 2.6 billion at £12 a share. Just ridiculous and at the very least kills any chance of upside for a considerable period of time.

That is the absolute key fact, everyone has ignored the dilution

So that will be about 44% dilution for existing shareholders over the last year

and maybe more to come

you'd think they were flying around 90% of pre-pandemic flights looking at the current share price

markets are as daft as a brush sometimes

Very good result but it leaves the companies valuation at over 2.5 Billion very stretched

11.90 is the figure apparently .

A good result for the company if correct.

Very good of them to raise money to pay me my full refund for my cancelled Portugal trip. They will be building substantial goodwill with customers. Along with Ryanair they look like becoming a dominant player in UK leisure travel.

Watching this with interest.
Great company, just really hard to value. What is already priced in? Has the market overreacted? Will this be the last raise?
On the pricing of the new shares, it will depend on
a) the percentage of new shares issued (it's up to 20%, they may raise less. They raised 20% back in May which was £137m. 20% now would be ~£387m based on the current market cap)
b) any discount necessary to get institutions involved. If they think they need the full 20% then I would say they need a discount so it will be in the region of £10.28. If they are happy with more like 10% (£211m) then may not discount at all so it’s likely around £11.80(they didn’t discount in May, but it was a smaller raise and the price has nearly doubled since).
Ultimately it doesn’t matter what the price they set is (unless you already hold!), what matters is ‘does the market believe this gets them to the other side of the pandemic in good shape?’.

We all know TUI are pretty much toast as this goes on..

Anyone have a feel for where Easyjet are with regard to cash etc ?

I think they will emerge as a tougher competition than TUI.. Tui sandwich between Jet2 and Easy ...with that debt is going to be a big ask to stay afloat IMO

This fund raise is a great thing to do.

If the shares are really overvalued as a lot of people think they are, that's exactly what they should do, and what you want to see as a shareholder.

Issuing shares at a price above the intrinsic value increases the value per share, although there are more shares in issue.

In any case, it makes the shares less overvalued. So management is doing all the right things, and I'm confident they will emerge as one of the winners of this crisis.

No one wants to raise cash when they are desperate and the trough is well used.
Getting in early is really smart.
With falling cases and deaths and a plausible plan what's not to like.

Snorkel

The major holders have been contacted so I guess the book build will decide the price.
I am right the retail part is very small sub 8 euro?.

To be fair raising money now at such a high price is a clever move.

Lets see where it goes tomorrow. My gut feeling is down £2 plus.

However that's just what I think should happen.

A fair price right now is a market cap around 1 billion.
