Aye but followed up straight away by saying they had to cut margins to sell seats in April and may? As I said, it's not bad but you'll struggle to get people racing in with cash when you say load factor are up 1%. If they have said pax numbers are up 10% (seats up 12 and loads up 1%, should be more than 10% more pax) then it completely changes the tone, for me anyway.

A lot of focus on the board relating to the cash johnrxx99 I agree, but to dismiss the cash it is nonsense.I assume that you are just frustrated that there is not enough discussion on your three key areas, equally as valid.

Why you lot keep banging on about cash, is beyond me. I means nothing from an investment perspective. All the market wants is growth in EPS, margin and profit.
Doh!

The TU was great - again.

They're executing perfectly. All things under their control, that is.
Market circumstances are the same for everyone and not something you can take them accountable for.

With each step, they're getting stronger and better than the competition.
This in combination with a great runway guarantees value creation over the longer term which will translate into higher market valuation.

All other consideration like current share price movements are irrelevant.

T2T, howz about capacity up 12% and load factor up 1% with modest increase in pricing mitigating cost increases.
Its usual J2 conservative update.... I can still see earnings around 200p this FY.

On the plus side today the UK aviation sector can't be doing too badly as Heathrow announces record pax figures.

Bashor. I think it is better to compare own cash vs the same period last year when it was GBP1.12bn.
Over the year that is a positive of £180m

Own cash fell £850m between 30 September 2022 and 31 March 2023
Own cash fell £821m between 30 September 2023 and 31 March 2024

I think some of you are optimists. I am naturally pessimistic and I took from it that flight only is up, which is less profitable and margins had to be cut on April and May to fill the seats. Its not a bad update but I don't see a single line that gets me excited for the upcoming months. That's the issue.

If Jet2 were on a P/E of 17/18 I would say the update is slightly underwhelming. However, Jet2 is on a P/E of 8/9 so I say the market continues to ignore the fantastic value that the shares currently offer.

Market cap = £3B

"own cash" = £1.3B

So for £1.7B you get a growing and market leading company which makes a pre tax profit of £520m.

Me thinks the market hasn't woken up yet.
