There are small niche markets as mentioned, also Goa for example, but I think the main target would be Florida.

is the market big enough for them to go there?

TUI could do with some competition for Cape Verde.
No one else flies there from the UK.

One growth possibility is that they take some long range 321s. This would allow new destinations without the cost of operating/leasing widebodies and with less seats to fill.

TUI had a market cap of 12.45 bil in 2019.. even then their balance sheet wasn't great as lock down showed ..6 bill MC for Jet2 could be a possibility over the next 3-4 years

Yep an interesting situation ..sure debt is going to increase significantly, but as said the revenue trajectory is impressive by 2028 may see customer deposits double..unlike the other airlines these are segregated and assume Jet2 will continue this.. so huge offset against debt payments ..another 2 bill of retained profits possible.. 10bil in rev and a very young fleet of planes, voted best operator time and time again what is not to like .

Makes sense to invest. I suspect but not sure they will benefit from the enhanced capital gains deduction the government have made permanent ? Regardless with CT at 25 percent and growth so strong it makes sense to invest. I think we will be more revenue that EasyJet and Ryanair in 7 years which is amazing given we have so few planes and staff in comparison. You may doubt this but look at our growth trajectory and with 100 percent or more capacity over the next 7 years it’s not impossible. Our revenue to fleet size is amazing and no wonder EasyJet wants to move into holidays. Can’t see a gypsy jet holiday having the same appeal. Although I think the whole airline industry is a long now.

At list price it’s a circa 3b pounds investment from 2028. One would expect of cash generation stays so strong until then our finance costs will be minimal. An excellent run business with an exceptionally strong balance sheet.

Do airlines never become takeover targets ? Surely this has got to be one ?

In return for lower cost. The logical challenge will be to become more competitive in winter aka less seasonal! Sell a whole lot of winter holidays

The yearly depreciation will be pretty big for 146 planes ..25 year write down ? 11 bill of asset ..just my figures not sure how much a plane cost each after what ever deals have been done. Also the finance on these won't be light some ofset by cash balances which is great but guessing be in the 4 to 5 percent area so few hundred million per annum..

Correct, I'm assuming the pace of a321 deliveries to step up from 6 to 11 or 12 in 2025 to 2027 included

Yes indeed, Jet2 growth is also to defer cash taxes as growing depreciation of owned planes allows to defer taxes

You want your profits reinvested but yet the cash pile gets bigger and bigger ?

Share price will follow in due course.

In relation to airplanes ordered do they cost us much cash as down payment ? As they are on lease no? Truth is I don’t know I’m just looking at web data and financials and this is a fantastic investment at this price.

I don't see them as running the business to cautious, they have seen what weaker balance sheets will do to a company..Tui robbed customer deposits to pay 8 percent divs only to be decimated in Covid debacle.. they where lucky they still survived but a shadow of their previous self...TC where not so fortunate. CT is bang on with the amount of Cap ex coming down the line over-the next 5 years when planes are put into service..I for one want my profits mostlg reinvested. They have been on the receiving end of banks and there games at the beginning and where close to going pop as credit was pulled, a lesson the current management will not forget. caution and risk management is key in this business.

The cash is for growth. We have up to 100 plus new 321 neos on order .
These will make us more efficient and improve margins and drive growth.
Tough times will come around and a strong balance sheet will help push others away.
Jet 2 could double in size without saturating the U.K. market.
The point about cash equal to market cap will not happen as the shares will be £20 plus in the next 2 years.
Best investment for growth.
