25mmbo = approx £2 to JOG so I heard somewhere, Malcy I think.

Not sure it would be a winner for us at this share price however much will also depend on Cortina in that seismic. There is a third smaller field too.

They are expected to be between 25mmbo and 130mmbo. Clearly one outcome has a much greater reward to shareholders than the other.

So, if we take the 130mmbo as being the winner for all holders, what share price value do we ascribe to the low case? Will it still be a winner?

I believed it was an ADVFN JOG thread where people politely discussed their sometimes differing views.
One step at a time for me, let's prove up the volumes first.
If they come in as expected then any subsequent developments will be a winner for us all.

From the June 2018 Presentation:

"Jersey Oil and Gas is a London listed UK E&P Company focused on building its position in the UK North Sea."

You can't build a position if every time you find some oil you sell it undeveloped.

However, I see this is an ADVFN Cheerleader thread so I'll say best of luck and it's not for me.

You can hardly get a good price to sell something if you say " We aim to flog off any finds we make for some cash".

All companies have magnificent slogans and sayings - but end of the day - an offer comes in and its a good offer, they sell.

Give the appearance of not wanting to sell, makes the buyer pay more if they want it.

'The Company continues to pursue its dual strategy of appraising and exploring P2170, while seeking to acquire oil and gas production assets in the UK Continental Shelf ("UKCS") region of the North Sea'.

What I said. That implies they'd keep the producing asset.

Schroders taking a bigger stake is a good sign, they are very much into buying undervalued companies and exerting their influence to sell off for a fat profit. They must have an eye and an ear to JOG having a good appraisal well and then being bought out.

Yes, I get the feeling any more sells will be quickly taken as well. I see it is already blue this morning.

Even more tightly held with Schroders gobbling up loose stock.

Fardels Bear. I would think maybe they would sell as that would give them plenty of cash for any future developments.
I remember them saying they may well invest in other projects. They would need cash for that.
I also think they will have some new Buchan prospects to announce soon, they seem to have a good relationship with Equinor and I think they will get their fair share. I hope so anyway.

PS From 26th April 2018:
'The Company continues to pursue its dual strategy of appraising and exploring P2170, while seeking to acquire oil and gas production assets in the UK Continental Shelf ("UKCS") region of the North Sea'.

As was posted further back in the thread, the UK Oil and Gas Authority is actively encouraging companies to work together to exploit remaining NS resources, which are considerable but as it's a mature region, mainly smaller in size. As we said at the time, to seek economies of scale. Everything has its price but there's a lot more potential in P2170 to keep JOG in the frame and as was also mentioned before, there's a supplementary licensing round currently in process for the Buchan area. I'd be amazed if JOG aren't applying for anything, although presumably Equinor will get preference in any awards, due to their size.

Not a bus model I'd recognise. The production pays for the development of further prospects and continued exploration.

For JOG one would presume the value creation is in discoveries like Verbier. Let the producers get on with production, let JOG get on with discovering, appraising and selling. Higher risk but fat higher value creation for the shareholders in the success case.

Why wouldn't they want to become joint producers?
fardels bear

Are JOG likely to sell Verbier to Equinor once it has been proved up? Any thoughts? It would seem unlikely either would want to become a joint producer and Jersey may want funds so they can move on to their other prospects such as Cortina.

I expect a bit more than that if all turns out well with the Verbier appraisal. But who knows what will happen as we may also have some pretty good seismic to take us to the next stage. Good to see we are back to £2 on the offer, that snuck up quietly!
