10% tariffs better than expected will help the US business, not so bad
UP WE GO TO £1.00 |
Breakout ? |
smurfy, Sssssshhhhhhhhh, not yet, i'm still filling my pockets ;-) |
Time to buy |
They should start a share buyback stupid cheap. |
SFR and TPT have little or no debt, low PEs ,share price is low for one coz of a one off steel problem and other coz of CMA poss investigation on purchasing a rical. But they both pay approx 7% divis. |
Yeah. There's loads of other crazy low PEs in UK. Eg. CARD, COST, CBG, EZJ, IAG, and many others.
COST being the most hilarious. Low PE, little or no debt, over £160m cash in bank and a market cap of only £249m. Go figure!? |
Yep, more than agree, hams. I’m comfortable with this considering what it’s used for (Hibbett and Courir). Net debt may be about £40m, or less than 5% profit (PAT), whereas I’d be ok with 300%+ for good acquisitions. |
A bit of net debt isn't a problem, it's quite common.
Net Debt = Short-Term Debt + Long-Term Debt – Cash and Equivalents
Not surprising as they keep buying companies. |
Well today was 'big pants on' day today for me. I now have 15% JD and 15% PSN, usually I'm a 5% max kinda guy, but hey ;) GLA. |
Its Jdspy ..why 3 % up..hedging there??? |
Yes, Wolf, I see.
Hmm, my spreadsheet was pre-H1 results. Ok. They spent the dosh on Hibbett.
Ignore my above comment then. lol. Apart from how I agree that it seems a crazily low valuation and I must be missing something.
I’ve only invested in UK recently and it amazes me how low companies are valued compared to US. |
Yeah, last weeks update did state small net debt |
They have slight net debt. Read last update however still undervalued |
@chris cat, I make it worse than that.
I think JD hold over £1bill net cash. H1 ended with net cash £1116m, and h2 should produce £500m or so, with £450m spent on Courir. So, possibly £1.2b cash.
A business about to make over £900mn being valued at £3bn. I must be missing something here. |
So Market Cap of £4.3bn buys a business with a pre-tax profit of c£900m and minimal debt, c5 times earnings? No wonder the UK market is seen as an underperforming basket case. |
Hey fraction of a penny trader nation...up 0.12 penny from bottom |
Won’t make a jot |
Next stop 75p? Anyone? |
Regis should buy big now |
