Welcome back MT :)

Wishing you strength and resilience in your recovery - be mentally prepared for some "down days" from time to time, it is inevitable but take comfort that "good" days will come as well.

MT, welcome back. I believe they paid $90,000 per day for the April-July charter, and the plan is for a storage tanker to be in use until the summer of 24, so a significant saving.

The charter rate for medium range tankers has dropped from circa $45,000 a day to $10-15,000/day on most global shipping routes since the summer.

So, the current cost to Jadestone to charter a medium range class tanker (around 50,000t deadweight / 300,000 bbl capacity), should have fallen to a small fraction of the very high rate they paid for the LR2 Class tanker (circa 700,000 to 1,000,000 bbl capacity) they initially had on a three month charter from early summer.

The Silver Sawsan has 10% extra deadweight capacity but both it and it's predecessor are low capacity circa 300k barrels .The Grand Ace1 is now on its way to Singapore. The handover was at $90+ Brent and then add $3/4 premiums- so circa $95.Hedging program applies though

The news flow here warrants a weekly RNS. Blakeley said on Sep 19, oil tanker 5c and ballast tank 4s would be operational within 4 weeks. That would increase the capacity of the FPSO from 120,000 to 300,000. The second PM infill must be flowing by now. To rebuild the shattered confidence in JSE, regular updates are what the market needs.

I asked this question at the most recent Webinar / JSE's CEO addressed the same and stated that Cedric no longer affiliated with Tyrus other than residual earnings from a certain fund of Tyrus from his employment term...

I have also been led to believe that Cedric will be replaced shortly with another independent director.

From the Jadestone Website - It looks like Cedric is no longer a Tyrus rep.

Cedric has extensive experience in advising on M&A, financing and structuring investments gained from his 20-year career in investment banking and hedge fund industries. Cedric is currently co-founder and managing partner of Amavia Capital, a private investment firm and the President of Tall Mount SAS. He was previously a senior member of the investment team at Tyrus Capital S.A.M. where he had significant investment experience in the oil and gas and mining industries, among others.

Tyrus already put cedric fontenit in place for this ages ago - guess they have two NED now

from 2020 agm..

Pursuant to a relationship agreement (the “Relationship Agreement”) dated August 3, 2018 between Tyrus Capital S.A.M., Tyrus Capital Event Master Fund Limited (together, “Tyrus”), Stifel Nicolaus Europe Limited, and the Company, Tyrus has a right to nominate one director so long as the Common Shares held by Tyrus represent 20% or more of the rights attaching to Common Shares to vote at a general meeting. It was recognised, in the Relationship Agreement, that Mr. Cedric Fontenit was Tyrus’ nominee. Mr. Fontenit was employed by Tyrus from February 2012 to August 31, 2018. Mr. Fontenit was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company on June 7, 2016 and continues to serve as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

With one of their own installed as NED could Tyrus Capital be in the process of nicking JSE on the cheap just as JSE is turning the corner to better times ahead? I understand JSE suffered misfortune and professional misjudgement in the last year, but at present valuation retail investors will be below water.

Euroclear UK and International’s proven and robust securities lending and borrowing programme delivers unprecedented settlement efficiency for our clients.

It can be used to:

Cover shorts
Optimise settlement
Fund collateral operations

Clients agree terms with their counterparty bilaterally and then simply input appropriate Securities Lending Outbound (SLO) instructions.

As soon as this settles, the return leg (SLR) is automatically created in a frozen state.

At the agreed term of the loan, both counterparties will send instructions to unfreeze the SLR and close the loan.

I believe there are warrants at 30 each. Could someone be exercising these warrants for a small profit each time?

I think the present management team owe shareholders a favour and need to reciprocate with a good set of results next time.

As of 30.9.23, Baillie Gifford have reduced their holding to 8.28% from 8.70% on 30.7.23. That's 2 million shares, maybe they're the ones selling these 100,000 blocks on a regular basis.
