It can't be long until production restart. 18th Jan report submitted and JSE stated maintenance program started in parallel with tank activities.That was 3 weeks ago.Maintenance usually takes 3 weeks - I would anticipate a start up RNS within days - probably after start up has happened. Ie start up might take a day or two to ramp up - hopefully they give flush production numbers.RNS Monday perhaps along with guidance and conference call

Excellent News - This is DNV, one of the World's leading Classification Societies, giving the Montara Venture a clean bill of health to recommence cargo handling operations and it being accepted by NOPSEMA.

Not only does DNV confirm that Jadestone has taken remediation action:

'To prevent the re-introduction of produced hydrocarbons at the facility, until it has been demonstrated to the satisfaction of NOPSEMA that the structural integrity of the facility's hull and tanks are assured.'

But, that the Terms of Reference of the Project have taken into consideration measures to ensure the FPSO will going forward be inspected and maintained to the highest Classification Society standards, and in particular with respect to the management of corrosion:

* International industry good practice;

* The effectiveness of the current system of inspection, maintenance, testing and repair, including facility history;

* The current system of operational management as it relates to structural integrity; and the current expected field life.

And

'On completion of the Project, provide a report produced by the independent reviewer to NOPSEMA for its consideration prior to the re-introduction of hydrocarbons at the facility.'

Good news today and draws a line under the issues that have been hanging over the company for months. An excellent decision by Paul to bring forward the planned shutdown work to coincide with this repair work - it may mean a bit longer before restart, however, will benefit in the months to come.

we are in the final leg of this now.

Long economic history shows that once out the bottle it always proved extremely difficult to get the inflation genie back in again.

Powell hints at further rate rises as US battles inflation

'Jerome Powell, chair of the Federal Reserve, has signalled it may need to make more interest rate rises than expected in response to surprisingly high employment figures.

Speaking at The Economics Club of Washington DC, a non-profit forum for global business leaders, Mr Powell said: “The reality is that we are going to react to the data. If we continue to get higher jobs reports or higher inflation reports, it may be the case that we have to raise rates more.”

Mr Powell said inflation is unlikely to go away quickly. “The base case for me is that it will take some time. We will have to do more rate increases and then look around to see if we have done enough,” he said.

Last week, Mr Powell said that the disinflationary process had begun its early stages, as inflation began to cool in the goods sector. But the unanticipated strength of the labour market data has raised fears of further inflationary pressures.

American non-farm jobs rocketed by 517,000 in January – 332,000 more than the 185,000 expected and nearly double the number recorded in December.

“We didn’t expect it to be that strong. That shows you why we think this process will take a significant period of time,” '

DNV delivers Montara FPSO report to NOSPEMA - Jan 2023 - Offshore Mag

'DNV has completed its review of Jadestone's remediation plans and operational readiness for the Montara Venture FPSO offshore northwest Australia, and it has submitted its findings to the regulatory authority NOPSEMA.

It follows the detection of structural issues in tanks onboard the vessel after an offshore oil leak.

Jadestone expects to complete all remaining activities within the next few weeks related to hull and tank inspection, repair and maintenance, allowing for operational readiness of the FPSO.

Planned maintenance for 2023 is taking place in parallel with the tank activities, and this should allow production to restart next month.'
