23/4/2021 10:18 | Jacko, what dividend price do you think ITV will restart at? Considering before Covid we were at 8p per annum since 2018. I would be happy to see a restart at 5p to 6p. | nige co
23/4/2021 09:48 | I think the coming numbers will be ok, no fireworks but they will show the worst is over and things are getting better. Netflix dropped 8% on dwindling subscribers, I stopped my Netflix because there was zero new stuff coming on. ITV hit 128p a few weeks back so they have dropped almost 10% on nothing more than a weak market. ITV revenue should rebound over the rest of 2021. Most of its programmes are back in production and studio space rented. I can see ITV restarting dividends this year. This should be a further catalyst for the shares to keep climbing as income investors pile back in. Additional gains could come from the company re-entering the FTSE 100 only a few months after being forced out. Then funds tracking the index will buy the stock whether they like it or not. Was ITV manipulated out of the FTSE 100 was another rumour doing the rounds, it would be difficult to believe it were possible. | jacko07
23/4/2021 08:56 | sharebuddy. Most companies operate share incentive schemes and most directors buy and sell company shares. There is a search engine called Google, if you punch in Investomania.com it will direct you to a site used by millions on small investors wanting information. | slater5
23/4/2021 07:40 | Interesting, the director buy in the £1.20s thanks | netcurtains
23/4/2021 07:36 | Hades1 thank you for the information. Unfortunately I am ignorant on the workings of share incentive plans but, just for my information: 1) how do you know these share sales are from the share incentive scheme 2) when you say such sales are normal or automatic under such schemes can you explain further please. Thanks | sharebuddy1
23/4/2021 06:27 | You said yesterday “Interesting that the ceo recently sold a large quantity of shares as did the cfo.” 22 Apr '21 - 09:32 - 18941 of 18956 You then repeated later “ Nige - but the 2 top executives both sold significant quantities the week earlier” 22 Apr '21 - 20:10 - 18953 of 18956 From HL I have now pointed out twice that this is false. The only sales are tax related sales from the company’s share incentive scheme - totally normal in fact automatic under such schemes in all companies. These tax related sales are not usually reported as they are not regulatory news. The only transaction outside such a scheme was : 12 Apr 2021 Painter, Duncan Anthony Non-Executive Director Regular purchase transaction 82,087.00 £1.21 £99,005.13 I am rather surprised you didn’t understand this fact. When such share incentive schemes sales are transacted they are always highlighted as “tax related sales” to avoid such reporting errors. As I said yesterday I am sure it was an innocent mistake. | hades1
22/4/2021 22:12 | hades1 - sorry but what is the mistake? | sharebuddy1
22/4/2021 20:20 | sharebuddy1 You are mistaken. As in your posts earlier today you refer to something that never happened. I am sure it’s a innocent mistake but please stop repeating it! | hades1
22/4/2021 20:10 | Nige - but the 2 top executives both sold significant quantities the week earlier | sharebuddy1
22/4/2021 20:03 | I think the price weakness is a Netflix read-across...which I think is not relevant. Really I think ITV has very good mid to long term value at this price and any interim price weakness is an opportunity...I could be wrong of course. | thorpematt
22/4/2021 20:02 | In my time I have seen all sorts of weird buys and sells and am yet to see anyone at ITV who has been arrested for insider trading. It is not too common because it is illegal and a firing offence. You can try and second guess this stuff, but it would only be luck if you got it right. The market in the sector is down, ITV aren't going to buck the trend. | slater5
22/4/2021 17:37 | Sharebuddy... "Is it possible that this current share price fall may signal bad news in the upcoming trading statement or agm?" I may be wrong but I wouldn't have thought that a ITV director would have purchased 82,087 shares @120.61p on 12 Apr totalling £99k if ITV had any bad news to report in next weeks AGM. | nige co
22/4/2021 16:36 | Not massive (just over 19m for day) but over last normal traded price. Nice. Let’s wait for late recorded (executed earlier) and auction linked Ordinary trades. Today’s volume should be 20m ++ | hades1
22/4/2021 16:31 | Looks like a big volume auction night | hades1
22/4/2021 16:16 | Depends if the end in nigh. I thought it would be AGM morning but who knows maybe earlier? | hades1
22/4/2021 16:03 | Hmmmm, bit more volume again today and a trade of 2m at 115 (15:40). Market doesn't usually publish big trades until late in the evening, so it could be that we're heading lower again in the morning. | ivanborsky
22/4/2021 10:44 | you're a buddy? | netcurtains
22/4/2021 10:41 | What was incorrect? | sharebuddy1
22/4/2021 10:38 | L2/3 (excluding 'fake' sell orders on at 126p) looking better than it has all week. | hades1
22/4/2021 09:37 | sharebuddy1 Incorrect information not helpful unless you are short of course? Shorters everywhere today - I have no issues with shorting but no one should post misinformation Incidentally advertising markets seem to be as ITV forecast last month. | hades1
22/4/2021 09:32 | Interesting that the ceo recently sold a large quantity of shares as did the cfo. | sharebuddy1
22/4/2021 09:17 | lol - brain of britain | netcurtains
22/4/2021 09:11 | Is it possible that this current share price fall may signal bad news in the upcoming trading statement or agm? | sharebuddy1
21/4/2021 19:13 | Granted the daily technicals look challenging right now (weekly are OK) but it’s ITV we are talking about - often sets it’s own path. After all, the technicals on the 6th April flagged it as a buy! Let’s see Incidentally Marshall Wace slightly reduced their short position yesterday from 0.72% to 0.69% - clearly they failed to foresee the Neflix numbers last night and their consequences today! | hades1
21/4/2021 18:58 | 6th April 2021, first day of the official school Easter Holidays and GS confirms a 'neutral' rec on ITV shares with a price target of 135p. Two weeks later, the FTSE breaks 7000 and the Mid-Cap index is at record highs. ITV shares do nothing and from the start of this week have gone from 123p down to close today at 116.45 breaking the 10 day, 20 day and 50 day moving averages. ITV agm next week and then its the trading statement the following week, MM games ?? Surely not ! | ivanborsky |
