28/3/2024 18:00 | Ignore Matthew, he's clueless! spud | jonnybig
28/3/2024 17:56 | 1DirtySteve..A share buyback for ITV is when they use the £235m to buy back their own shares from the market, cancel them and, ultimately, reduce share capital. With fewer shares in circulation, each shareholder then gets both a larger stake in the company and a higher return on future dividends. MatthewR is correct, ITV buying will not move the sp, the share price will react when the shares purchased are cancelled. Any upward or downward movements will occur because of events, news and market sentiment. | royston6
28/3/2024 17:18 | You are more than entitled to your own opinion but I don’t understand how you think you’re right, please explain. Share price has been trending better most afternoons which is when the volume trades. | matthewr1
28/3/2024 16:50 | I read that Matthewr but I simply don’t agree! And the share price movement seems to agree with me not you. | 1dirtysteve
28/3/2024 16:47 | Trickytree , read my earlier posts on the buyback. Share price has got zero to do with it. The only metric that matters is volume, it’s constrained to maximum 25% of the order book volume. Simple as that. | matthewr1
28/3/2024 16:40 | Stanley are you talking to yourself? I can lend you a fiver so you get get back in the blue club if you like? 😘 | 1dirtysteve
28/3/2024 16:38 | Really Jonnybig?? Just be happy the buybacks are working and having an impact. It’s nothing to do with StinkyFingers stories. He’s a Walter Mitty / Pinocchio who hasn’t called anything right in years. Or are you just one of his other aliases? | 1dirtysteve
28/3/2024 16:31 | 74p busted! Time for an update from goldfinger methinks! spud | jonnybig
28/3/2024 16:24 | I think (from google) its a great place to get SHORT TERM INTEREST..... So as ITV has a lot of cash it might want some good interest rates...... | netcurtains
28/3/2024 15:29 | Getting closer to 74p | blackhorse23
28/3/2024 15:28 | RNS...regards EMTN programme | reidy66
28/3/2024 14:18 | I have Pearson for similar reason to ITV, it of course also has the extra bit of growing profits... If ITV can get ITVx on the same path as ITV Studios it could do a Pearsons.... too.. | netcurtains
28/3/2024 13:57 | In the meantime, the buyback pot sits on the balance sheet, substanitially reducing net debt? | huckers
28/3/2024 13:51 | At yesterdays amount of just under £400,000 spent it would take 590 days to spend the £235M. There’s only 252 trading days in a year so that ain’t gonna work. Imagine the fireworks when they start buying the numbers required. I think at this lowly price they’re struggling for shares. | trikytree
28/3/2024 13:40 | lol, plebs wanting buy back accelerated so itv need to pay higher and higher prices... | stansmith1
28/3/2024 13:33 | I think they will. At the moment they are buying for treasury & once finish treasury buying then buying for cancellation which will be very good. also I think policy quite good , hold price at this level 1-2 weeks , let the profit taker out then buy back again at bulk to push 100p level | blackhorse23
28/3/2024 12:58 | They are not exactly pushing ahead rapidly with the share buy back are they. Just 545,908 yesterday. I think they are going to have to try a little harder to get the ball rolling. | tlobs2
28/3/2024 11:25 | Forgot about Easter week | blackhorse23
