11/4/2024 08:59 | Yesterday only 1.4m shares buy back | blackhorse23
11/4/2024 08:54 | Trading update on the 9th May! Wasn't expecting one so soon after the full year results. Popped it into my calendar. | ![]() huckers
11/4/2024 08:47 | The buybacks have kept the share price above 70p. In aggregate there were 24m buybacks at yesterday's close which has saved the company £794k in today's ex div. You would think that they would accelerate the buybacks until next results on 9 May, unless of course the results are going to be disappointing in which case, they might as well stop the buybacks and start again post results when the share price is lower. | ![]() kelso29
11/4/2024 08:32 | Added more | blackhorse23
11/4/2024 08:24 | Exdiv are red herrings, just the very small proportion of trading shares sold. Share price always recovers within a couple of weeks. I make a fortune out of "dividend hopping" spud | ![]() jonnybig
11/4/2024 08:14 | The buyback is passive: slow and steady and limited in volume. On its own it won't counteract the prevailing order flows at play. Today it's ex div, of course it will fall by 3.3p at the open. I didn't expect anything else! | ![]() huckers
11/4/2024 08:11 | It is but will it keep the price up? Alas no - its lost 3p already... If it falls more, we would have been better off selling BEFORE dividend and buying back after... | netcurtains
11/4/2024 08:06 | That's their job. | ![]() the imperialist
11/4/2024 08:05 | The imerialist: That buyer is "potentially" a significant difference.... | netcurtains
11/4/2024 07:52 | The share price will discount the DIVI, same as always. We have a forced buyer who will no doubt buy the discounted shares. | ![]() the imperialist
11/4/2024 07:51 | Big day today - ex-div.... Will we sink, swim or stay steady as we go..... | netcurtains
10/4/2024 15:27 | A 15.57m volume off book trade just went through at 73.0p. | ![]() huckers
10/4/2024 15:11 | Buying today will give you another 3p dividend income | blackhorse23
10/4/2024 13:33 | I am holding for long . Dividend plus buy back , sounds attractive to me | blackhorse23
10/4/2024 10:47 | FEWDOLLARSMORE: Ex-divs are always on Thursdays. | ![]() keyno
10/4/2024 10:29 | 75p ex-div would be equivalent to 78.3p, a rise of another 5% or so. Optimistic but not overly so, given the continued buy back. Regardless we've had a good run, I'm still holding as I don't think it's over yet. | ![]() davius
10/4/2024 10:14 | I calculate a drop to circa 72p per share and recovery to 75p within 8 trading days if buybacks remain over 1m shares per day. | ![]() millennialinvestor
10/4/2024 09:57 | The "potentially" good thing about an ITV ex-dividend is that because of the buy back program its quite possible the price will get supported relatively well and (touchwood) bounce back within a few days (touchwood).... Only time will tell.. (I'm holding through the date - taking the risk - as someone recently told me, what ever you decide will be wrong - so might as well decide to do nothing as anything else) | netcurtains
10/4/2024 09:36 | Thanks I had it down as 9th on my spreadsheet for some reason... | fewdollarsmore
10/4/2024 09:06 | Ex div is tomorrow. | ![]() huckers
10/4/2024 08:55 | Did Itv go ex div yesterday? So no much of a drop off and onwards today which is good to see | fewdollarsmore
10/4/2024 08:05 | 75.15 paid for 10 shares | ![]() reidy66 |
