04/4/2024 10:34 | For a shareholder you are certainly looking for some downside some time next year ! | ![]() tlobs2
04/4/2024 10:28 | tiobs2: What a weird thing to say. Why would I sell, if I think ITV will be £1 by the autumn???? | netcurtains
04/4/2024 10:27 | It looks like netcurtains has sold up ;-) ITV plc ("ITV" or the "Company") today announces that it will commence a programme to purchase ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the capital of the Company (the "Shares") up to a maximum consideration of £235 million (the "Programme"). This follows on from an earlier announcement of the Company's intention to commence a share buyback programme made by the Company on 1 March 2024. For the record ITV have so far spent just £13.1M of the £235M allocated for the project | ![]() tlobs2
04/4/2024 10:21 | I expect advertising to start picking up towards the summer and ITVX going from strength to strength. I see this back in a trading range of 100-125 before too long. | trikytree
04/4/2024 10:19 | I did not say "done" - the market will turn against ITV long before the "done" date... If advertising or ITVx slips.....Eg if price around about £1 but ITV still doing quite mediocre - then what will market think? | netcurtains
04/4/2024 10:15 | lol Donkey. It’s much more than 3-4M. Why don’t you just read a RNS? Curtains. Won’t be done by the Autumn! Impossible. | trikytree
04/4/2024 10:13 | Towards the end of the buyback time ITV will really need to show that ITVx is working and advertising revenue is coming back strongly..... When the buyback crutch is nearly gone (in the autumn?) its important that ITV produce another magic rabbit from the hat... | netcurtains
04/4/2024 10:09 | 325m pound buy back of which only done 3-4 m pound so far | blackhorse23
04/4/2024 09:49 | You’re sounding a bit desperate Stanley. Yes I think they’ll honour the buy back. I don’t think it will take 18 months but I don’t really care how long it takes. I’ve always thought the buy back at such a large percentage of market cap would have a significant impact. I’ve been buying since. I’ve been reinvesting dividends from elsewhere in to ITV. Somewhere around the 600,000 level now split between an ISA, SIPP and dealing account, all in significant profit, with dividends on top and a bright outlook. What’s not to like? Meanwhile Stanley you just keep wasting time trying to talk it down whilst some of us are seeing our patience rewarded. | trikytree
04/4/2024 09:41 | lol at you thinking the buy back will continue for the stated duration... i would expect that from the plebs....that said half the plebs thought it would do nothing the other half have erections and think its xmas...so very entertaining... have no plebs bought since the buy back and results...they cant wait to buy and post when a share is mid fall - they seem to have missed the boat here lol, to be expected though | ![]() stansmith1
04/4/2024 09:34 | lol at what Stanley? share price looking strong don’t you think? 😉 | trikytree
04/4/2024 09:33 | 80p by the weekend!!!! spud | ![]() jonnybig
04/4/2024 09:25 | What is the best source for checking latest institution/retail holdings? The sites I use seem to have big variations. | ![]() 1dirtysteve
04/4/2024 09:22 | With retail investors so low in ITV the buy backs are always going to have an impact. And with 17 months to go why would anyone sell. 120 is a given in time. Could be anywhere between 2 and 12 months but this will get back to 120. | ![]() 1dirtysteve
04/4/2024 09:13 | So where are the self proclaimed posters from a few weeks ago who were saying that the buy back wouldn't impact the share price? Clowns. I'm just waiting for the goldfinger post mentioning that his friend in the states heard in the sauna last night that another price rise was expected for ITV today ;-) | ![]() tlobs2
04/4/2024 08:42 | Can 75p be clean hurdled, looking good 👍 spud | ![]() jonnybig

03/4/2024 22:29 | 15 March 2024 Magnus Brooke is Group Director of Strategy, Policy and Regulation at ITV where profits are down by 60%. The digital revolution is changing broadcasting fundamentally and destroying former business models. So does ITV have a future as a Public Service Broadcaster? We also discuss the Media Bill and the added responsibility on Ofcom's shoulders.... | ![]() jagworth
03/4/2024 19:32 | trikylol, really? | ![]() stansmith1
03/4/2024 18:18 | Still on track to take a whopping 18 months at today buy back rate. I can take 18 months of small daily rises. | trikytree
03/4/2024 16:10 | peeps wan't a little taste of the dividend it seems. | ![]() millennialinvestor
03/4/2024 15:36 | Yes, unfortunately the geniuses on the other thread will never admit it though. We're nearly at the price Rufus Radcliffe sold his large holding last August, if ever there was a signal to sell, that was it! | ![]() kelso29 |
