yep, been listening to alot of Shuggie Otis, famous for this track which was covered by the Bothers Johnson, with Lee Ritenour doing the 'fiddly' bits in the middle! It's on the Jackie Brown soundtrack too..

prefer the original though..

So sad to see Etta James has died, a huge loss to r&b/soul/blues music. Even her newly released farewell album (The Dreamer) is a master class in how it should be done for today's generation.

Also RIP Johnny Otis, another "great" from the formative years.

Artist: Louis Armstrong
Song: What A Wonderful World

F Am A# Am
I see trees of green, red roses too
Gm7 F A7 Dm
I see them bloom, for me and you,
C# Gm7 C7 F / F7+5 / A#maj7 / C7 /
And I think to myself, What a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white,
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night,
A# F
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

C7 F
The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
C7 F
Are also on the faces of people goin' by
Dm C Dm C
I see friends shaking hands, saying, "How do you do?"
Dm G#o Gm7 G#o C7 A#7
They're really saying, "I love you." I hear

(back to verse chords)

Babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know,
And I think to myself what a wonderful world(F / Am7b5 / )

Gm7 C7-9 F A#6 F6
Yes I think to myself, what a wonderful world.

If you want to see one of Pete Townsends old guitars in use - check out this, its a dan electro coral hornet - vincent ball signature, played by Franco Cornelli of the SKUNKS ( all of who recieved gifts of equipment from the WHO in 1978 ) who liked the Skunks so much he signed them to EelPie Records.
Enjoy !!!
