They let TP go new full time CFO just appointed. The interim seems to have made a massive difference for the better. Well done team.

Some very positive price action this week, and it’s great to see the holding grow significantly in such a short space of time after a period of pain!

I would expect all the bad news has now been and gone and that Americo and his team have “kitchen sinked” it and set it up for IQE to show growth for the foreseeable future at each biannual earnings event. To that end I now expect the share to finally become investible for the mid term, perhaps even the 2027 timeframe, with higher growth each year until then. The demands of AI will be the biggest driver and of course the RNS that shows we are now starting to get our teeth into the Chinese Android handset volume is very welcome, especially as Apple is declining there.

The question now will be when to exit, but I think we could now see two years of share price gains as a minimum, so something to ponder down the line…

Good luck to all who have remained patient, well deserved.

Slightly positive news yesterday has really lifted the share price which seems to demonstrate that there has been only bad news baked into the SP! Imagine what a good TU or positive news flow would do to the share price.

This could hit 30p. Still time for directors. RNS normally follows day later. Lot of this could be shorts closing as no holding RNS yet.

It’s make your own headline day, i like it Dave.

If they can sustainably increase revenues with 20% this year, 25% in 2025 through to 2027 (which is still a fair chunk behind Americos 3x target) then this could be a great long term turnaround story. Gotta make some profits first though…

Stranger things have happened ;)

LTS, you’re factually correct but who cares if the share price carries on upward! The headline is fantastic although doesn’t match reality but there will be plenty of investors who just add the share into their portfolio as they see a low share price, and the words “recovery̶1;, “AI” and “Semi conductors” and there isn’t much else like it on the Uk markets.

You could argue that the downside was overdone and perhaps fair value is 30p, even if those folks over at Shadowfall are still banging their drum about IQE being a busted flush again.

Would be great to finally take out that pesky 26p and finish at or above 27p.

In an ideal world we will get a summer update to say we’re ahead of analysts expectations. That way 40p may beckon…

It’s always nice to have a great headline however the article is a bit woolly and has been somewhat spoon fed by Americo from the looks of it.

How I wish that IQE was actually “feasting̶1; on the AI boom instead of just making a reasonable recovery from one of their worst years in recent memory and still losing tens of millions a year. Still perhaps the headline is enough given that most people often don’t get past the large print ;)

No further news on the IP porous silicon lawsuit against Tower, maybe as expected but two years on surely we will hear something soon. Be great to clear this up and indeed see a win leading to significant compensation for IQE

Lots to digest.
Big trades for today.
3x2m trades.
Late trade 2m after close.
1x 1.85m.
753k
729k.
Over 2600 trades so hardly matters. 37m shares traded. About 4% of the entire stock.

There was a 2m late trade from yesterday too. Will we see any RNS's for these or are shorts messing with share still? Director buys for tomorrow? You would expect 10-15m+ trades tomorrow.

Brokers were expecting 133m-154m for year. Fact that Lemos says see broker figures means he now trusts their figures. Which is a big change as these have never been great.

Numbers seem a bit meaningless. Comparising H1 to H2 in 2023 adds nothing here as H1 was unique with so much stock left in channel. To meet brokers figure revenue needs to rise in 2024.

Their 2 main business areas were both down 33%. So pretty much entire business hit by this. Seems some areas compensated for this

General admin at 32.5m for the year. This included many one offs so should be back to 26m for 24 hopefully. Hopefully 10% reduction in staff will help. Must be other savings to be had! Still looking at 14m or so loss for 2024.

I think it's all pretty much as expected. We knew there would be a big loss. We knew that new contracts were hopefully starting to come online and that their was a stock surplus in 2023. Revenue as expected for Q1 which makes sense as they always said H2 would be where additional revenue comes.

Maybe good news come June/July pending on revenue and any TU. If they plan it right a positive TU in November. Better to under estimate than disappoint.

Anyone who bought at 14p made a good play here.

Transcript of todays webcast

And as I said earlier HE DID restate the revenue forecast for 2027 in answer to this question

Thank you very much. I will now start asking the webcast questions. The first question comes from [Kai Korschelt] from Canaccord Genuity. And you didn't reiterate your 2027 guidance of $650 million in revenues, and you see the mid-term outlook. Apple volumes in 5G, are not really growing anymore. What will drive your growth beyond the current inventory rebuild?

Americo Lemos

Good question. I'm not going to reiterate 2027 targets every year so, but I'll give you - an idea on where we are. THIS IS STILL OUR TARGET.

He did not back down

Sweenoid - I note, with concern, the return of your green ticks.

Last time those were out in force was 2017/18. And we all know what happened to the share price shortly afterwards.

Seriously though, you’ve highlighted a number of legitimate positives. Equally, you’ve rather glossed over any negatives. One of which IQE even included in its own outlook statement, namely:

“persisting uncertainties in the global economy”

Some might argue that comment only applied to last FY. Others - myself included - suspect we’re not quite out of the woods yet.

Naysayers, perhaps just not wearing rose tinted specs, be honest Sweenoid your investment skills on IQE over the past few years (since 2018) have been as flawed as the rest of us, so we shouldn’t just see blue skies. Yes I see potential hence why I haven’t sold but i’m not going to turn into a bull quite yet, until they can get past their 2022 earnings at least.

Any how, an interesting post and a decent collection of capital letters ;)
