04/4/2024 19:32 | It's unclear what Canaccord plan here. Not the first time they have cleared 8-9m shares. (Jan/Feb 24) Come March 24 they suddenly had over 14% of shares again. We have had 1.1m late trades for last 3 days. At these prices will directors be buying in after the results? No large volumes yet. 5-6m a day would take many days to get a further RNS here. Only 5% below the share issue price. I think if they were way ahead of expectations something would of been said soonner. Maybe they had planned results closer to end of March but just delayed getting them rubber stamped due to Easter. See what the thoughts on 2024 are when the results come out. | guildedge
04/4/2024 19:15 | Crosswires - here’s hoping. Though it has to be said, sweenoid’s positive bias is legendary. | lord loads of lolly
04/4/2024 16:52 | Unbelievable that we’re back down at 18p. However we should remember that Sweenoid had a meeting with the CEO and all was signposted as positive so in theory this should be what the earnings update should reveal… | crosswires
04/4/2024 16:01 | z1co - as I said, good luck. I'm not saying you're wrong. Just that, personally, I wouldn't take anything like the risk you seem happy with. But that could be down to me already having a sizeable holding here (more's the pity!) 2023 FY revenues of "no less than £115m" are still WAY down on previous years. 2022 - £167.5m 2021 - £154.1m 2020 - £178.02m 2019 - £140.01m 2018 - £156.29m For what's ostensibly a "growth" company, paying no dividends, the figures above & the lack of any progress are frankly pathetic. More importantly, without vastly improved margins, the bottom line still wouldn't be that impressive - even if they doubled sales. Part of Lemos' Capital Markets strategy was to get an EBITDA margin above 30% by 2027. If there's progress towards that, and sales are growing rapidly, then I agree we could see a major upwards re-rate. But I don't see that happening by next Wednesday. Barring an uber-optimistic outlook statement with some actual numbers to back it up, investors' main focus is likely to be on the appalling revenues, leading to yet another loss-making year. | lord loads of lolly
04/4/2024 13:39 | Part of the problem is that IQE do not communicate much with investors in general and so it’s very difficult to gauge how they are performing and so it’s entirely reasonable for investors to assume they are not doing well, because the majority of time they have underperformed. | longtallsally
04/4/2024 12:10 | l l o lolly, Last year the company had a really poor H1 when revenue declined to £52m and recovered by double digit in H2 to £63m , total for 2023 being £115m. The ceo expects the H2 positive trajectory to continue in 2024. I strongly feel the company will be very upbeat about it's prospects for 2024 , hence my purchases before the results. In January just prior to the trading statement the share price was about 19p and it recovered strongly after the TU. | z1co
04/4/2024 11:52 | Added twice more 50,000 earlier and 15,000 @ 19.29p , that's me done for now. | z1co
04/4/2024 09:48 | z1co - good luck! In recent years, IQE hasn't been a good share to buy pre-results, as the results have nearly always disappointed - despite previous guidance. But things are sounding a bit more promising this time, so you never know. January's update will probably already be priced in and it's known the FY results will be poor. Sure, they may be better than last year, but that's not saying much. So it really all hinges on whether the outlook statement is more upbeat than investors are currently predicting. Or whether we get the same old story - whopping "exceptionals" & jam tomorrow (and tomorrow and tomorrow) promises. | lord loads of lolly
04/4/2024 00:43 | alotto , It's always a risk buying shares ahead of results or trading updates.I've bought the shares because the company provided a very decent update in January , when the CEO said it was expecting further growth in 2024 after the company recorded a strong H2. I also feel this year will be a lot better than 2023 and the share price will rise steadily as the year progresses , i'll be very happy at 30p to 40p. | z1co

03/4/2024 18:46 | IQE plcCardiff, UK3 April 2024Notice of Full Year ResultsIQE plc (AIM: IQE, "IQE" or the "Group"), the leading global supplier of compound semiconductor wafer products and advanced material solutions, announces it will report results for the financial year ended 31 December 2023 on 10 April 2024.IQE's management will present the results via webcast at 9:00am the same day. | a13878713
03/4/2024 17:01 | Bought twice today 50k and 25k , nice reversal this afternoon on strong buying. With the date for results also announced at 4 pm , the shares could have a decent run. The company returned to growth in H2 2023 and expectation is that this positive trajectory will continue in 2024. | z1co

03/4/2024 15:43 | Smells, LTS (Like Teen Spirit?), like Capitulation! | wigoyle
03/4/2024 13:58 | Guildedge - sure. But IQE can only do that IF it has significant new orders & revenue is ahead of expectations. Which presumably they aren’t. Or it would have. | lord loads of lolly
03/4/2024 13:37 | CMCX did what IQE maybe should of. TU just before Easter and share surged 50-60p to 230p. It's up over 100% this year. CMCx Vs investing in IQE. This is what IQE should be doing. Announcing pipeline orders and telling us revenue is ahead of expectations. Of course take a bit more effort here to generate a profit at this stage. | guildedge
03/4/2024 11:57 | Extract from Nov 2022 announcement AWSC, a leader in the field of compound semiconductor wafer fabrication, has been a partner of IQE for over twenty years. This three-year supply agreement covers epitaxial wafers spanning a range of AWSC’s wireless products, including those which enable 4G and 5G mobile handsets and WiFi products. The agreement provides IQE with diversification opportunities into mass market power amplifier products. IQE and AWSC will also partner in the design and development of solutions for next-generation wireless applications. Americo Lemos, Chief Executive Officer of IQE, commented: “This strategic partnership agreement, our first with AWSC, represents IQE’s new approach to business. AWSC and IQE are building upon our longstanding relationship to accelerate innovation by bringing new solutions to serve the growing markets of smart connected devices and automotive. We are very excited about the great opportunities ahead of us in the market.” Eric Huang, President of AWSC, commented: “At AWSC, we continuously work on process improvement and new technology development to meet our customers’ requirements. Our partnership with IQE enables us to create leading-edge solutions and to transition them seamlessly to volume production. We are happy to extend and expand our relationship with IQE.” | bbonsall
03/4/2024 10:28 | Strong sales figures from AWSC in first quarter. Revenue up 276% from last year and back to 2021 levels. Given the 'strategic partneship' and three year supply agreement announced in 2022, hopefully an indicator that business has picked up in one of our markets at least. | smorales
03/4/2024 09:49 | Hi Sally, at what price did you buy if I may ask and why do you think it will go back to mid 20's? do you reckon that's its fair value? | alotto

02/4/2024 23:04 | Still on the way down on this new cycle more selling from CANACCORD ? Last week was busy the institutions selling of course. | cielos
02/4/2024 19:06 | 1.158m trade after trade at 19.55p. Canaccord day trading between 13-14.29% since Jan 31st.Let's see if volume trades appear later in week. Were the 6m today also Canaccord? I was never truly expecting a TU in March. Last year was very unusual with so much bad news. This year it was about steadying ship in H1 and setting sail in H2 with new GAN production. You only really do a TU if you have actual news. In which case a closing statement in June seems more likely. Why are people so eager to add here? Do we think the dip in share price is meaningless and maybe just to allow new investors in? At which point it surges back to 24-25p? I suspect mainly from big plans / new hires/GAN and positivity from Sweenoid. | guildedge
02/4/2024 18:41 | Votiem The difference between 19 and 17p is negligible. You may want to add even at current level. I'd be extremely tempted to add around 12p, if ever. However I'll hold off, I rather add at a much higher price on the back of significant good news. I was in at around 25p, mostly to keep this on my radar. | alotto |
