30/4/2019 08:36 | AMS state that they have started shipping the worlds first World facing 3D solution to a Android OEM. The WF sensor uses a larger VCSEL area if I remember correctly. | blueflame
30/4/2019 08:34 | A great start to keeping everyone informed and interested in this company. Keep em coming. | coolhandfluke
30/4/2019 08:10 | AMS up 18 percent as I write after releasing a stellar outlook with regards to 3D facial recognition uptake in the Android Camp. Should help us a bit. | blueflame
30/4/2019 08:05 | For a long time people on this board thought 3d facial recognition wouldn't work - or that we were supplying (although indirectly) Apple. So is this the start of something big - I hope so - we seem to have a some security in intellectual property - there is definitely a market and we are now (deduced from this rns) jointly exploring products/projects/th | boboty
30/4/2019 07:48 | "we need news and whilst it represents ‘promise’ This isn't the first time we've seen such promises though is it. | bulltradept

30/4/2019 07:29 | YesOnce volume manufacture of 5g equip starts, probably 2020 | ayl30
30/4/2019 07:22 | "We are confident that IQE's Materials Solutions will be a cornerstone that enable the upcoming 5G revolution." Is there really a revolution coming in 5G ? When shareholders see profits? This year ? Next or after that? So many questions, few if any answers.... | bulltradept
30/4/2019 07:14 | Yup, good progress. Let's hope they get a slug of that 5g market | ayl30
30/4/2019 07:10 | Great! Nice to see some positive news flow. “The active engagements that we have with numerous Tier 1 partners is a testament to the power of the IQE’s offering. " Hopefully this will translate into enhanced sales and profits in the not too distant future. | bocase
30/4/2019 07:08 | IQE Unveils Advanced RF Filter Materials Portfolio at CS-Mantech 30 April 2019 | taffy100
30/4/2019 00:27 | I'm with Claire. This exercise must trigger an income tax bill of 3m. Has he got that sort of money or will he need to sell some to pay the tax bill. | lpavlou
29/4/2019 22:19 | That's a really good point, exercising options at a price lower than market price incurs income tax. When stocks are sold at profit, CGT is incurred. In the case of subsequent share price growth, exercising options when share price is relatively lower would be more favorable should they choose to sell later at a higher price especially for higher tax rate payers. | claire1010
29/4/2019 19:45 | guess it must be legal but I can’t fathom how these options work at rock bottom base level. Clearly he’s taken them now to sell before the price collapses or to hang on and become a billionaire. I’m a huge IQE fan but the BoD haven’t covered themselves in glory when it comes to making a fast buck. | quoinit
29/4/2019 18:15 | As far as I remember back in 2014 around the time of the arrangement with Equities First the directors exercised some share options. This resulted, at the time, in an National Insurance and income tax liability. The tax position with the present option exercise may have changed from the situation in 2014? But if it is the same then I think there is a big tax liability (on the director) here, since it is assigned to income tax and not CGT? | maxwellsdemon
29/4/2019 17:08 | Drew Nelson paying 01p share for 7 million shares, seems more like daylight robbery to me ! When are these directors going to buy at MV ! That would be a thumbs up for the company outlook. | picobird
29/4/2019 16:53 | I love your positive tilt on everything and so relentless and insistent. | boboty
29/4/2019 15:04 | sweenoid29 Apr '19 - 11:22 - 25809 of 25815 "I see that RNS in a very positive light- he is a canny Scot and I think he sees great forward value." -End- From above, "I think he sees great forward value". No crystal ball needed for that 'pearl of wisdom'. Bought for 1p, price as I write, 73.55p. Sweeney says we must be prepared to LOSE ALL OF OUR MONEY on this share. But, the 'canny scot' seems confident it won't go below 1p. LOL! | regasclockwork
29/4/2019 14:52 | Arcadian - what an astute observation, be prepared eh?! S | sweenoid
29/4/2019 13:55 | Perhaps the options would have lapsed on a bid. | arcadian
29/4/2019 12:58 | Still 75000 that he doesn't have to spend (unless options are expiring) | boboty
29/4/2019 12:42 | Why is it a vote of confidence when he only has to pay 1 penny per share. Its an absolute no brainer to me. | blueflame |
