I can't see any new tool order announcements being made public until at least the first 5 tools are in actual manufacturing mode. They might place the orders for the tools given the lead in time, but withhold any announcement. We may even have options to take machines given we are a decent AIX customer, but agree when the announcement does come, it will be a very positive sign

About time, they started acting as a Company , rather than some sort of a research dept of a Uni. (relying on research finance). They need a new forward looking CEO to take the company into where it should be,. They have the assets and the technology of the future, and they need to be up there among the successful hi tech companies. The current CEO is more technical and should stick to that, and he did very well to bring it to this level.

Lumentum has been up 8% this week. If we are in bed with them properly then the rise we have seen this week in IQE is just a tip of an iceberg. This should go mahassive very soon.

Thank you for the Lumentum connection - US markets open in a few minutes so there may be a further rise to the share price - fingers crossed.

Big buys going through today with one of the biggest volume so far. Very positive sentiments building towards the £1 mark.

Could be a run for the exit if we get a good bit news ( if your short)

Shorts closing. They have had a very good run and the risk is probably not worth hanging on to see if the share price breaches 60p

IMO we have hit the bottom around 65p. All negatives are now out of the way. Any positive news from here is a plus for the share price. At the end of the day, IQE sells high tech products with high barriers of entry - in demand worldwide, makes a profit and made huge investments to grow production. The only outcome now is to grow or to be taken over. Thus why many bought and are continuing to buy.

I am very surprised that Oppenheim haven't disclosed a further stake increase given they were buying pre results at much higher prices.

Hmmmm . . . some pretty hefty trades went through after the close which showing in red suggesting they were "Sells" - though often disputed - totalling around 500,000 shares. However, two of the 86,300 trades are showing Blue on LSE board . . . hopeless.

Grity - Agree 100% as I also believe that the worst is now behind us. So any flagged up positive will push the shorters to close because they will start asking themselves: What is next ? So better they bank their profit asap than to be sorry and lose it all - or rather disintegrate it - as news-flow starts slowly dripping into the market.

Maybe Drew Nelson is taking a different approach this time by giving a dampend down year end statement , But is going to give the shorters maximum damage by giving more solid surprising RNSs throughout the year , GLA we certainly need it .
