20/3/2019 07:26 | Hello my boring old friend, i’m carbon neutral Sheepy as nothing that wasn’t expected, all rather dull and totally predictable like you ;) However I can afford to just sit on my hands and keep adding (you told me it would drop into the 50s so it therefore must ;)). Bahhh 🐑 | tomduck
20/3/2019 07:24 | pl don't bring trump onto this bb | adejuk
20/3/2019 07:24 | Where is the 40m capital projected for 2019 coming from. 5 year growth rates look to be at lower end of previous half year projection. | amt
20/3/2019 07:23 | Hey Tomduck, nice results here. You must be well chuffed. I also note the Rampmeister General is back. Fancy double or quits at the same price Sweeny? | sheep_herder
20/3/2019 07:23 | Profits have fallen by 93.3% in the last 4 years! Not what you would expect for a 'growth company'. | augustusgloop
20/3/2019 07:21 | Bocase, that’s all been said before and known, so yes dull, however i’m confident on the future so nothing there that spooks me. | tomduck
20/3/2019 07:20 | If it opens unchanged --- the PE will be 653! That's pricing in a lot of growth! | augustusgloop
20/3/2019 07:20 | Tom Duck: Nothing dull about the outlook. Did you read it? "The investment we have made in site rationalisation, increased production capacity and new products and the opportunity that this has created in the key sector areas of sensing, connectivity and energy, will deliver margin expansion, growing profitability and increasing free cash flow in 2019 and beyond”. Margin expansion, increasing profitability and increasing free cash flow. That does not sound dull to me. | bocase
20/3/2019 07:18 | EPS for last 4 years: 2015 = 2.65p 2016 = 2.66p 2017 = 2.12p 2018 = 0.13p "steady as she grows" ??????? I don't think so. How is this a growth company? EPS is 95% lower than it was 4 years ago. | augustusgloop
20/3/2019 07:15 | the pe is historical and priced in it's this year that counts tu soon and that will set the tone | adejuk
20/3/2019 07:15 | Let's hope the results incl a lot of kitchen sinking of all the bad news they can think of. They need to start new year with a clean sheet | ayl30
20/3/2019 07:13 | There is also 10m of capitalised costs in these numbers and cash burn albeit a big chunk on capital is a bit alarming. So is the pe about 40 then. That's expecting a hell of a lot. | amt
20/3/2019 07:13 | Yes dull but entirely expected as he doesn’t give much away and is not known for hyperbole ;) Either way short term fluctuations do not matter to my mid-long term goals. | tomduck
20/3/2019 07:09 | dull? that's a synonym for iqe | adejuk
20/3/2019 07:08 | So as expected awful earnings and dull forward statement, just glad we can move on now. Would be delighted to be able to add into the 19/20 ISA another tranch at lower levels :) | tomduck
20/3/2019 07:07 | no black swan as expected and positive outlook it will drop imo but not for long. steady as she grows i sold 60k yesterday and i won't mind if it falls or rises i will buy them back | adejuk
20/3/2019 06:45 | augustgloom: If you just focus on the EPS for last year then you are missing the point completely as they are known but of course Kazoom is quite right that the wider market may not be switched on to that and shares may fall. With the nervous selling this week, though, we may see a relief rally. Who knows? The forward looking statement is all that matters today though for investors. | bocase
20/3/2019 00:27 | Which will be 2p at best - but then that is already known (by those that have been keeping score) Que sera sera | kazoom
20/3/2019 00:23 | tini5, Nope - I will focus on the EPS - before adjustments. | augustusgloop
20/3/2019 00:13 | I think we will be surprised tomorrow and the share price will rocket on positive forward guidance and 2018 figures will not be quite as dire as people are expecting. We will say goodbye to the 80's for good IMHO. A lot of nervous energy so cannot sleep, I hope it is not carnage tomorrow, but think it should be ok as all the bad news is priced in. GLA | hawkind
19/3/2019 23:54 | Good call tini5 - that is highly likely! But to be fair the uber-bulls will also focus on how big the 'future' prize is for this company. Just because I tend to believe the 'bull-case' for this company doesn't mean I cannot see hyperbole and short termism on both sides. | kazoom
19/3/2019 23:34 | My prediction is that whatever the results are, gloop will focus on anything negative to the exclusion of all else ;-) | tini5
19/3/2019 23:32 | augustusgloop - that may be the first thing that you've ever posted that I agree with!! As for knowing what the results are 'in advance' - I suspect that Tomduck bothered to read the 13-Nov trading statement - it was pretty graphic (I suspect most shareholders would have considered it X-rated). There was sufficient information there to form a very clear view of what tomorrows results will be. The actuals will (have) be(en) truly dreadful and whilst some people here know that only too well, my personal view is that the wider market still has not switched on to just how awful they will be. So it will be - IMHO - relatively easy for the 'usual suspects' to talk about 'excuses for dire performance' and dismiss the outlook as 'more jam tomorrow'. So my best guess is the price will fall again, but the market is a fickle beast so who knows? However a lot of factors still play into IQE's area of expertise so the longer term outlook - which most here claim to be interested in - continues to look strong so ,rarely, I will be interested to hear about tomorrow's jam. | kazoom
19/3/2019 23:13 | Am I the only one willing to post my predictions. The next prediction is 'no matter what is revealed tomorrow - mug punters will say that everything is going great'. | augustusgloop |
