Cheers poombear - Interesting to note that the biggest are Samsung and Huawei with market share between them of almost 37%. then you have the likes of Xiaomi growing strongly at 81.9%. So as usual, China is powering ahead. IMO IQE will end up taken over by a Chinese company as did IMG.

Buy order in for 76 to have a nibble and average down if it gets there, otherwise will just sit tight with what I have.

Fuji thanks for the BBC article. Interesting to see that Apple only hold 12% of the market. As we know IQE have been qualifying with the much bigger Android market, which has already started introducing 3D sensors in their phones.

Yes, I believe it is common for directors to (edit..be required to) have certain size holding.
I assume for longer standing officers, shares aqcuired through LTIP would count towards that quota.Don't know if that applies to IQE though, as I don't recall any substantial BOD holders other than Drew.. but memory aint what it used to be. ;-)

Some new BOD staff get welcome payment - no reason why this shouldn't equate to a required holding and be part of offer of place.

I agree with you - seems to be a concerted effort to sell out of good news. The story today should be all about the fantastic news about the Apple phones and their lower cost x r. All now have Face ID and the analyst forecast for earnings will be outdated and need to increase. This will make Iqe very undervalued with a pe of less than 17 and a peg on the floor.

Yep, unbelievable bargain, but that's how the market works, these things go in trends, next year we will have forgotten and unless you need the money now, it's just paper share price falls. I agree that IQE could be a little more proactive with their marketing, but they never have been and ain't gonna change now.

Crazy. With all the analysts forecasting 4.5p-4.7p EPS or so next year, IQE is now on a P/E of only around 17.

Even if this may be low considering all the forecast growth in its core photonics and wireless divisions, this leaves nothing for cREO, GaN, NanoImprint Lithography (NIL) etc.

And the P/E reduces even further if you strip out the £41m cash pile.

P.S I think IQE will do well but not until the shorting squad have left the building.

Is this then a smart strategy for shorters to buy back and reduce their positions without pushing the share price up until they are out? Maybe if the pattern is repeated and reported shorted shares reduces the turnaround will eventually come?

Yes I can afford it now £200,000 profit lol do research get down the AGM and make some serious money next year with VRS guys IMHO PS I ONLY GOT OUT AND INTO VRS BECAUSE I SAW IT ON THIS BOARD !!!!
