27/7/2011 18:19 | Its nice to see one bright spot in an otherwise dismal day for the portfolio. I think IOM management are a gutsy bunch. Effectively selling out their entire business to BT in 2009 and doing the 180 they did in buying up data centres showed a lot of vision. | ![]() nermil
27/7/2011 17:47 | divinausal, good find. Today was our largest % rise and our third highest volume day ytd. The trend is with us and even more so considering the falling markets. The last time IOM was at these levels was Sept 2005, so they are finally coming of age. We are now above the £100m threshold, so we should soon be hearing of related funds making their first investment. We could also have more analysts covering the stock. The next few RNS and media articles could prove very informative. | ![]() seekerofvalue

27/7/2011 15:16 | It is good to see new instituional investors recognizing the long-term quality of IOM. It is highly unlikely that the board would consider any deal at less than an extremely healthy premium, the more so that this greater institutional presence has come on board only recently. | farhorizons
27/7/2011 13:02 | iomart reaps great rewards in the cloud US technology specialist research company Tier 1 predicts that iomart will be punching with the European heavyweights as adoption of its cloud and virtual computing services continues unabated. Contract wins of significance include office2office, Guardian Media Group, Shine TV and Softcat. Existing long-term customers include Stagecoach, BT Global, London School of Economics and ufi/learndirect. Instrumental in winning such deals are iomart's household name partners. "For our hardware we deal with Cisco, Dell and HP," stated MacSween. | ![]() divinausa1
27/7/2011 11:36 | Looking good here. Very little stock about after those large trades at 110p. | matt123d
27/7/2011 10:45 | This looks like stake building to me, not ordinary retail investors. These are quite big trades. Maybe a new institutional investor? Or Gartmore increasing its position. They reduced their stake a little while back. Maybe they are now coming back. | ![]() nermil

21/7/2011 19:00 | divinausal, good find. What were the metrics of the deal? I don't want IOM taken over for a 20% premium. I hoping to see them satisfy their long held ambitions and become a company note. By which time they will have made long-term investors very wealthy. | ![]() seekerofvalue
21/7/2011 08:18 | good find d1 . So how much is Iomart worth? I reckon Angus has put a £200m price tag on the business. | ![]() wh1spa
21/7/2011 07:51 | Riverbed Technology, the US IT services company, on Wednesday announced a deal to buy Zeus, a UK cloud computing company, for $140 million in cash. | ![]() divinausa1
20/7/2011 09:56 | Looks as though the buyer has now withdrawn - presumably he got as much as he wanted yesterday, a large part of which was not trade reported on this site. | ![]() mesquida

18/7/2011 15:07 | On the wires today. | lascala
15/7/2011 00:32 | nice one Lascala i like these two snippets Revenue in the year to March grew to £25 million from £18 million, but Mr MacSween said there was capacity to increase sales up to £80 million without investing in more space Iomart, which has bought three rivals in the past eighteen months, remains on the hunt for deals to "lift and shift" more work into its own datacentres, but it is also acutely aware that large companies could swoop on the business as the demand for cloud services ramps up. "We're on the radar screens and they're certainly aware of us," he said, arguing that in the United States, the large telecoms companies have been the most active in pursuing possible takeovers. ================ when you think Go Daddy worth $2.5 Billion.... | ![]() divinausa1
14/7/2011 21:49 | Lascala, great find. IOM holding up well considering the negative movement of the FTSE recently. They are also out performing the Software Computer Services sectors ytd. | ![]() seekerofvalue
