29/7/2011 12:22 | Mesquida fair play. In the past I've been too slow to bank profits and sometimes seen them disappear in whatever 'end of the world' moment the markets seem to get hit with on a fairly regular basis. | ![]() nermil
29/7/2011 09:33 | I also purchased shares many years back and elected to take more in place of dividend so I am handsomely in profit. It is said differences of opinion makes markets, and I must admit to having no immediate plans to sell on the basis that I can't see a much better growth prospect for the immediate future. See ...."Profits at iomart Group plc rise by 618% 01/06/11 Rise in cloud and hosting customers boosts iomart's annual results iomart Group plc (AIM:IOM), the managed hosting and cloud computing services company, has today (June 1 2011) announced a very healthy 618% rise in profit before tax to the London Stock Exchange. The company's financial results for the year ended 31 March 2011 showed profit before tax rose to £2.8m (2010:£0.4m, before gain reduction in deferred consideration of £09m). iomart Group's revenue also showed a big increase, up 38% to £25.3m from £18.3m in the previous financial year. 29/7/2011 09:13 | Straight forward profit-taking after a good run - my average cost price was only 40p - also I do think that the rating looks a bit heady when compared with the more successful TELECITY, although I do accept that their approach to filling rack-space is very different to the Angus approach. Finally I do think that the recent buying is down to one sole institution wanting to build a stake and being rather clumsy about it - it has all the hallmarks of FIDELITY -once they have finished their buying the price could retrace a fair way, and maybe that will give me an opportunity to get back in although at the moment that possibility is not uppermost in my mind. But certainly I do agree with you when you say that I have had a rocky ride, and perhaps that also has been a factor in my deciding to bank profits now. | ![]() mesquida
29/7/2011 08:55 | Mesquida, you say you've been a holder for 5 years so that means you've had a very rocky ride with Iomart. After all that, wouldn't you think that now is when you'd see the best performance? The company wasn't much more than a cash shell back in 2009 after it sold out to BT and its taken them a few years to establish themselves in what is still quite a new area. I'm just wondering why you've chosen now to move on? | ![]() nermil
28/7/2011 23:47 | nermil - 28 Jul'11 - 17:18 - 361 of 363 Yes I just saw that. I've never seen a director sale described like that before. Interesting... ============ really its not uncommon but im sure its nice too for directors to take profits on the way up we should have a few years of good growth here(70% 2012), enjoy the ride :) imagine what the share price would be if we were not in a bear market... also as the boss stated they know of a few bigger fish taking a look at them. | ![]() divinausa1
28/7/2011 22:09 | I agree mesquida. I remember the 2005 announcement. I wonder if Angus will be selling any of his to appease the appetite of the Insti's. | ![]() wh1spa
28/7/2011 21:12 | This is not an uncommon expression - indeed IOMART themselves used much the same phrase back in 2005 when Bill Dobbie was selling out of the Company. Will be interesting to see who has been buying all this stock - my money is on FIDELITY - once they decide that they want something they often give the impression that they do not care what they pay in order to get it! | ![]() mesquida

28/7/2011 13:25 | Directors may be overweight, particularly if they have supported the company over the years, so that live institutional interest makes it an easy time to rebalance a personal portfolio. The fact that institutions are coming on board demonstrates that the market is finally beginning to "get" Iomart. | farhorizons
28/7/2011 12:56 | The man is also 66 years old. I'd suspect cashing out a bit at this stage has more to do with his own personal circumstances than Iomart. | ![]() nermil
28/7/2011 12:34 | Director share sale - anybody buying in anticipation of a bid might like to think again - to me this smacks of clumsy institutional buying - I have moved on after being a holder for 5 years! | ![]() mesquida
28/7/2011 01:21 | from Autonomy results yesterday Autonomy is pleased to report that in the quarter we saw a continuing shift amongst our customers choosing our cloud model, which has the additional benefit of higher visibility and recurring revenues with long-term contracts. This change now means that cloud and OEM, both recurring models, account for 62% of IDOL software sales, reaching an inflection point. Business in the quarter was marked by a strong rise in our cloud business, with Autonomy's "commit" metric growing organically 27% year-on-year to $437 million demonstrating very strong customer signups. | ![]() divinausa1
28/7/2011 00:52 | The managed services market is experiencing growth. Cloud and hosting markets are poised to get very big. At $20.3 billion in 2009 cloud hosting/computing markets are anticipated to reach $100.4 billion by 2016. Applications and infrastructure markets are coming together to make information technology delivery a utility, with on demand systems able to scale to meet the needs of users with those users paying for the flexible capacity they use. | ![]() divinausa1

27/7/2011 20:30 | With the kind of volumes that have been moved, there have to be institutions involved. That the company is now capitalised in the >£100m bracket and with this greater institutional involvement, this can only be good news. | farhorizons |
