This is out today but the main content is subscription only, self explanatory from the bit available though. A ;pointer to the 150 rule.

Invest in securing your water supplies, Chile miners told
By Juan José Lagorio - Wednesday, May 28, 2014

This week's appeal to mining companies was made by public works undersecretary Sergio Galilea on a visit to northern region III, an area being hit being hit particularly hard by the drought.

That water 150 rule.

I didn't think many would spot the coming proposal, but it forms part of a much bigger national change that will have the Chile buzzing over it as it's such a big issue for them, and an attempt to change water laws completely.

There will be plenty of opposition to the main changes, so we'll see what happens. The gov proposals are said to be announced in June.

Well it looks as if the shares in short supply now and main seller gone had some mileage in it, but as the register gave a big clue it helped.

I.E. a potential seller most were keeping an eye on is now out it would seem.

That's not to say of course that there isn't the odd party pooper around. Likely suspects though are thin on the ground.

Here's hoping for around the 35 mt mark to show a bit of progress.

Cyberbub,
It doesn't matter so much, we are supplying internally, it will matter more later in the year.

As for production, I will be happy with a 50% increase over April, 32.7 MT.

Whether top or bottom of that range makes a significant difference to IOF's profitability!Anyone got any insights?

Nice to see a bit of positivity returning to the board (and the shareprice). Anyway, just posting to say the indmin June prices are out, $39 - $48 for both spot and contract. This is the third month in a row at these prices so it's looking like they've bottomed out (fingers crossed).

Digg, anywhere between 30 - 35 MT in May would show clear progress IMO... obviously 35 would be great!

Octopus, I don't expect any update on water for quite some time yet. The date on the DNRC website is not accurate, it is just a box fill. I actually hope they ditch the watch and just concentrate on Iodine.

35MT for May would be a great step in the right direction.

IO5 power situation should also be resolved by end of July latest (quoted up to 90 days in April update). I would hope that by end of July we can be producing 40-45MT per month.

Octopus,
Forget about water, I don't expect any meeting for a few months, then months possible deliberation.

Imminent news is this months production figures to be announced next week probably, then we have the AGM coming up 10th June.

Would love to get involved however in the next 3 weeks at some point you will have the water permit update. Any negatives on this whether u perceive as material or not has recently had very detrimental affects on the share price.

That chart is looking good, MMs reluctant to let sellers back in, all looking good ahead of production numbers.

Maybe good news is leaking, it was far too cheap, I've been buying as many as possible down here.

Holding a record amount, this was and is a time to be greedy.

i bought in recently, but understand everyone pain higher up, i bought lots of stupid mining stocks in the past that dived and dived.

on a technical, this is looking good on the weekly chart, the down trend line is at 70p at the moment, so im hoping to get up there soon.

i hope everyone higher up atleast get their money back.

I have some at 2.35p - it looks a long way off.

And some at 0.29p recently, that took some belief in IOF.

Exactly cyberbub. It's hard enough to make money in shares, so if one feels a share is worth mentioning that's fine, and we should help each other if we can. Everyone is capable of doing their own research about tips mentioned.

I'm lucky enough to have an average of 33p following the recent fall... but I know there are a lot of people with much higher averages following the shocking performance recently... hopefully we will all be much happier within 6-12 months...Good luck allNAI
