Skylite, i was reading somewhere a good while ago about the stages, i.e 1,2,3, it was a very interesting article which basically stated percentages. It said the best time to invest is before the stage 3 trial as on a percentage basis more make it through stage 3 than fail.

Good look with rene, i did hold many moons ago but still watching.

"About Hydrodec

Hydrodec is transforming the way energy conducts business.

To end the world's dependence upon finite oil supplies and use existing resources more efficiently seems like a lofty idea, but this was the genesis of Hydrodec. Hydrodec secures and re-manufactures specialty mineral oil products and provides environmentally sustainable petrochemical materials management.

A global company with a small carbon footprint, Hydrodec is a cost effective, cradle-to-cradle operation offering a unique refining process with capabilities across the petrochemical and oil refining industries."

This was mentioned to a friend of mine {by A.B.} as a share that will give a good return {within two to three years}.

I've been away for a week, but on my return I notice that the underlying rising trend channel for the share price is intact.
It is not a plateau, or a slight fall away... it is still rising.
This is despite no new recent news and stock-on-loan rising, so this is a very good sign.

Agreed John hence my timeline. I think everyone should have a punt on a small cap Bio, this one is good value at clinical stage 2. If it goes into 3 it will hit 20p.

Look, there were over 200 posters asking to join this much vaunted private bb. LOL ... why don't these folk all post? All I see is a hard core of a dozen or so regular posters, where are all the others? Perhaps if more folk posted we'd get a better bb ... just a thought.

LOL ... he wanted a private bb, then someone told him the problem. You need exposure, what's the point when nobody else can see you? LOL ... it doesn't work, it will never work. Pointless.

What's the secrecy over the new board? I can't see the point in getting everyone to state publicly that they want to be included and then to keep it a big secret afterwards? I think it would be better to give some public explanation (even if it's just that there is no such board operating at present but that it's ready for if/when it's needed, as per previous comms here with all submitted names incorporated) rather than going through loads of people asking online yet again? It's all starting to feel like one of those call centers where you have to press all those buttons and then at the end you're asked to call back later (but I'm probably just tired after a long day!).

I'm really happy to see this board working properly again though - huge relief!

Evening skylite - just checking various threads and thought you might like to read a post I put on the 'ReNeuron - a leading, clinical-stage stem cell business (RENE)' thread:

johncsimpson 6 Jun'12 - 15:29 - 2451 of 3623

Posted a bit after that and held over 1m shares at one time but now hold none. RENE has legs and featured on the news 27 th May with some positive news re trials but it's a long term project and not for one (me) who is retired. Better short term gains elsewhere . . .

Have bought £1k each for my grandchildren . . . a good prospect for them IMO

digg,

Thank you, I would hope that well researched and factual points were also made.

I am no-ones wing man nor am I either a ramper or deramper - I would hope that my posts and the facts/figures I have put forward are properly supported. Any errors have been acknowledged and corrected.

As for my opinions and extrapolations of the future - they are wholly mine and as likely (if not more likely) to be wrong as anyone else. Testing those is what a discussion board is for.

Unless of course as some on here appear believe it is strictly for either ramping or deramping.

Anyway I have no agenda and unless specifically challenged or engaged no reason to continue to post here (unless I change my mind re investment) so once again and hopefully this time finally.

I have a long termer Sg. Rene.

Excalibur own 10% of the shares. This the their jewel in the crown, although I must admit it's a shoddy old thing to wear on your napper!

Lets look at the basics.

Their stem cell treatment as just gone through stage 1 into 2. Stage 1 was through 12 patients, all of whom had pretty much non reversible damage through strokes. A stipulation of the trial was that they only use patients who had no chance of natural recovery (first 18 months). Most of the patients saw some improvement. You may have read a week or two back of the elderly patient in Glasgow on the BBC. The guy had lost the use of his hands and had done for over 2 years, his stroke robbed him of 300-400 million cells in his brain, the trial only allowed for him to ne administered with 2 million stem cells and he saw a massive improvement. This wasn't improvement he would have got anyway by nature.

I hear that there were similar findings with the other patients.

Where are they now? Stage two starts in July with bigger doses to see if there is an exponential improvement, it lasts a year and results due Nov 2014. The doctors running it wouldn't stick their neck out after stage 1 if it did have massive chances of working.

For the investor it doesn't need to work through to 5 or 6 just the next stage or 2 to see multiples of the share price

There's always a risk with clinical trials and more so with this as stem cell trials take twice as long (and therefore twice as much to fund), but if you look at Scancell and their stage 2 clinical trial compound and their 40 odd pence share price the surely 2.2p for Rene looks like a great risk reward punt.

Exc are offloading all their portfolio apart from Rene.

Did anyone else notice the following image shown during the Dr Chris Fay interview? The portal frame building being erected looks to be 120ft x 60ft, assuming the normal 20ft bays common in the UK. The taller square building behind it looks very much like those constructed at IO#1 and 2 close to the blow out towers. That at IO#1 is 40ft square when measured off of GoogleEarth, which looks about right relative to the portal frame. Are we looking at IO#3?
