if I have engelo , my apologies to pc , don't intend to offend any regulars on here, but as for the non holders coming here and telling us we are a bunch of nomarks on here , that know nothing about iof, and keeps on about American co's on the aim , afraid it's a red flag ,

pc, I totally disagree with you, he is not welcome here , he has no holding and no real knowledge of iof , and all he has done is probably unnerved a lot of punters who have not done their their home work , plenty of them , plenty of knowledgeable guys on here could return the compliment on the self acclaimed messiahs threads. I AM A PROFESSIONAL INVESTOR, so were the bankers. just a gobsh-te who likes to hear himself with his half a dozen disciples

engelo - I don't disagree, just saying caution should always be the first rule, it is mine anyway. I saw 7 figures vanish 13 years ago and I'm not talking Snow Whites companions...

Square1, i agree fully with your comments, however anyone that comes to any bb without research deserves to be shot down whoever that maybe.

Many on this bb have put up to 18 months research into this share and know it like the back of their hand. Others turn up and say its a high valuation with zero research, no wonder investors on all bb get their backs up.

Your welcome CR - I reckon your ego could do with a little deflation - Quite happy to have obliged.... However always scope for a little forgiveness for those willing to show a little contrition & respect - I can see it might be a long wait in your case

Onwards and onwards IOF. lol.

One thing I do agree with CR on this argument is that posters are reacting far too personally. Not everyone has to like your investment, just they don't have to fancy your, wife girlfriend etc. Everyone is entitled to a different view. Accept it, no need to argue the point

uppomp: by definition we have a well distributed structure though. What are our vulnerable locations? Head Office?

edit: "The Group's operational assets are located in Montana, California, Texas, Wyoming, Kentucky and Oklahoma, USA. The Group also maintains corporate offices and research and development facilities in Colorado, USA and Kentucky, USA."

WOW! - over 50 posts since I posted last night. Well I have another 'rule' learned from years of experience (I see you were giving me advice pcjoe, despite having only registered in Nov last year - cheers, I'm always open to advice from those with a wealth of it :-)) and that is when a BB gets highly active then the hype is usually in the price imo. I far sooner find a thread where nobody is interested and do a bit of thinking for myself, a bit of research etc - the time to buy a stock is when everyone is fed up with it, not when everyone is excited by it imo.

Anyway, it's clear to see the fragility here, as someone turns up and suggests the emperor might have no clothes and all and sundry sycophants rush to cover his modesty with their own little fig leaves :-)

I'm not even going to try to spell it out again because as they say, there's none so blind as them that don't want to see, or don't want others to see perhaps. Suffice to say I suspect I'll be returning later with and 'I told you so' post and I also suspect most here will have moved on to another ramptastic thread while a few here desperately try to build a defence.

Hopefully I'll be proved wrong and the many novices that so easily part with their cash don't get burnt but I suspect this isn't that great rarity that is a US co listed on AIM that actually benefits the small shareholders in the longer run.

All imo/dyor

The nasty CR.

The one pertinent thing from the Pace issue - no real disaster planning in place and unfloodable factories flooded.

It might be why I'm never complacent even though invested.

I suspect those in above 50% of their portfolio, and some 100% have never lost damn near everything on a dead cert!

noli, thanks. "Start of permitting" is unambiguous, as is the "up to four months". I guess IOF must be confident that permitting is a formality with a tight delivery time. After that, I assume, it goes to delivery, construction, completion then commissioning - the last one adding 2-3 weeks on the end, if io2 is an accurate model.

uppompeii: scrutable made the 'Black swan' point where he conjectured what might have happened if the OK Tornado (s) had taken a different course.

We're still on a patch of relatively thin ice in that when we've got say 5 I02 clones operational then a plant failure will hardly be noticed, but when you've only got one....

Otoh IOF is a very rare breed in that arguably the major threat is a takeover :-)

Writz, you will have noticed the Landman job advertised a few months back, permitting will have started quite a while ago, they needed a permit for IO#2 and IO#1.

As per any oil company the operator needs the leases signed to extract minerals, their is no difference with iof.

Surely permitting is simply local authority planning permission?

From the Annual Report:

Iofina plans to continue to focus on two of the five targeted geographic locations for a potential full area-wide rollout. Each site is expected to take up to four months from the start of permitting to completion. The Group will seek to continue to add additional mid-stream contracts from oil and gas producers in these core areas.

What is permitting, and when did it start for io3?

I am sure one thing everyone would agree on is that at this market cap there is absolutely no margin for error. None. On anything.

If all the internals are sound the biggest risk has to be external. I was in Pace having a lovely run up when the floods hit the Hard drive factories, nice drop from 220 to a low of 45, and thats a company with huge t/o etc. I dread to think the fall out on a fledgling.
