So did he discount a fund raising. I am considering increasing my stake here, but I won't act until I can get more info about funding.

frog,
nothing was said on the current cash position, obviously that is market sensitive.

However, I did discuss the topic at length, many ways to skin a cat ;-)

With regard to point 3 above, production levels at IO3 have been impacted relatively little by the drilling activity. I don't know about the weather but IOF will! It was also ramped up quickly and yes I agree there are many positives coming out about IO3.

I do know that IO4 was ready to go in early Feb but the weather impacted that, so i agree the build crews are performing exceptionally well. Very soon we will have two crews ready to go again.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get an RNS stating both commissioned and signed off. Now that will be a first buts I suspect the first of many to come.

Comments after speaking to a company director yesterday for over 45 minutes:

1. They are optimistic on the company and it's business model.

2. They have lots of interested US customers and the Chemical division is going to perform very well this year.

3. Regarding January 29th RNS:
"Iodine production levels at IO#3 are coming in as expected when the volume of brine received from the Operator is as anticipated. However incoming brine volumes have been affected recently due to the Operator's significant fracking and drilling activity in the area, which is affecting overall iodine production levels."

IO3 is performing consistently and inline with expectations. The company is very pleased with it.

4. Water news is expected soon, probably within next month.

5. The construction teams did a very good job against very, very tough weather conditions.

6. Mobile unit design complete, just a matter of tendering for construction.

7. They have loads of sites suitable for plants.

Exciting times ahead, I'm not going to share any more for now.

Can I smell an RNS or is it Shonny having a rethink?
Come on Shonny
What's the prediction today? 50p by the weekend? Or 1.50p?

Could be water dampening him down?

Added a chunk of these this morning.

I don't want to be looking back and kicking myself for not buying in the 70's. Positive news can't be too far away..

Technical signals now firmly pointing to a trend reversal. This could be quite a re-rate, supported by positive newsflow over the coming weeks/months. 2014 will be very different to 2013!

I don't think the bears will be "bearing up" for much longer, by the sound of it. Hurricane is usually right. I think Shonny had better get on his tricycle, and peddle off to somewhere a bit safer .....
PS ....... and do something about his shorts.

Alpha sorry its my fault Shonny hasn't turned up yet. I am making sure he has wiped his face and has pulled his socks up. If he is about to be Hurricaned he needs to be present and correct.

Hurricane so it sounds like one of the things brewing may have just been finalised. Now that's what I like to hear.

Alpha

I had been hoping they would raise a topic on here, that I could have some fun with, it would appear it is on their own thread (others inform me), perhaps they fear raising it on here, as I have my A-10 tank buster purring away and on adrenaline.

However when you filter folk threads disappear, and I'm not tempted to look, as I can't think of anything they could find that I haven't known for some time, 2 years of digging creates a lot of info.

But on the topic, time has run out for that debate, that Hurricane fella seems to know his stuff. One post 2-3 years back demonstrated to me he is often ahead of the game.

Anyway, with one item chalked off the list where will bears go next

SHONNY UPDATE CHANNEL
We understand Shonny has been delayed on his way to the LSE while he repairs the stabilisers on his Disney Princess bike.

Good morning Shares-fans and welcome to the SHONNY UPDATE CHANNEL.

Well here we are at the LSE - a small crowd impatiently awaiting the arrival of GURU SHONNY. Ansana with his wet flannel champing at the bit. What will our mastermind have in store for us today? Will he go red, more red, crimson, claret, vermilion, scarlet or stress the 'Friday 60p Day' message? Hard to say but you can cut the atmosphere here with a soggy kipper.

And in a blistering start the markets opened with a number of sells - so not looking good for the bulls. But what's this. The price has gone blue. Incredible. Do the mms know what they're doing? But with no news yet, it's back to the studios while we continue to wait for today's 'SHONNY UPDATE'.

There are clouds on the horizon in Chile. True, it is the best investment destination for miners due to its long-established mining sector, natural resources reserves and generally favourable regulatory environment, according to a report on Latin and Central America, compiled by Business Monitor.

But the report added Chile's energy and water costs are rising rapidly, and there are on-going risks to energy supply, particularly in the north of the country, a region with significant mining activity.

So on the point of the lower iodine prices, the longer it goes on the more the pressure builds on the smaller mines as other costs continue to rise rapidly

From another report

'Electricity Costs in Chile Have Risen 11% per Year Since 2000'

Bring on the 150 litres per second water rule, that would force mines to move to seawater pipelines, capex and opex up, and one mine reported such a pipeline made it's power costs 30% of overall opex. At 11% per year rises, it's going to keep nipping away at margins.
