neddo - there might well be something in what you say but, having read the application terms of the permit, it would seem to me that the Montana authorities are keen to help rather than hinder. After all, the business will generate jobs and taxable income within the USA.

We are a US company Neddo.

Headquartered in Colorado I believe.

We just happen to be a publicly quoted company listed on a UK stock market.

There are still questions to be answered regarding the rate of cash flow. Hopefully, these will be answered by the quarterly report due early April and the 2013 year-end figures due early May. Company should be cash flow positive in trading terms, and the rate of such will offer pointers to the future overall cash position and the ability to meet the bond terms and capital expenditure requirements. Again, patience is required.

It has been suggested that the water venture might become a joint venture, if the permit is forthcoming. If the jv becomes a reality, presumably this will mean a cash injection from a prospective partner.

Whether or not the $15m would have presented a problem by May 2015, is to a large degree, an unknown factor, although most would struggle to accept the possibility of successful repayment.

What is clear on the other hand, is that it was an 'elephant in the room', and was deterring PI's and possibly II's from taking a position.

Maybe this is why the BOD chose to address the issue at this early stage, with almost 14 months still to go.

Upps, yesterdays RNS was further evidence of the new management placing the company on much firmer financial footing and being more realistic about what can be achieved given the position the company is in and what is actually happening "out there". Long may it continue.

"But the rns to me just sounds like an overdraft extension because I cant meet the original conditions ?"

Distinct possibility IMHO. I for one was very worried about that loan and the redemption date because the old management arranged it and agreed the terms. Same management that said 6 plant by Dec 13 and a further 6 in 2014. 12 plant throwing off cash by end 2014 to redeem the loan in May 2015 or something similar. Nice work if you can get it. They almost certainly expected to get the water permit first time round as well.

Prudent financial management by the new board. They are doing exactly what they should be doing. They are factoring in "bumps" along the way whereas the old management did not IMHO.

UP

No argument there, it removed a short term obstacle the bears had been making much of. However that outcome had already been documented by one broker as likely, but some still chose to make a big issue of the sky falling in over it.

That cloud has now floated off into the distance.

I believe you have had a peek at FUM over the years. A few recently said fund raising coming, and yesterday evening it came and shocked a few.
The same voices were saying news was coming here, Hurricane I believe.

He's been on form recently, and I expect that streak to continue near term, without a Suarez 5 game drought.

If IOF wants to stay in the 70 to 80p range while they get io4/5 producing, build io6, get the water permit and achieve other 'stuff' near term, that's fine by me, and I'm sure that would be great to a lot of others too, who would load up as the business continues to de-risk.

On 'stuff', I've heard the same word from 4 different independent directions over here. I can see the word elsewhere too due to the amount of digging I do.

Look, I've no axe to grind either way. But the rns to me just sounds like an overdraft extension because I cant meet the original conditions ? I just read it like that, not a management coup, but a way to avoid having to raise more money. Fair play if it buys time for the delays but you know, pretty soon it will just be the numbers that do the talking? I cant shake this feeling of excuses.

Che OT: the mentionable could be JLP? Used to have some of these when they were in the 20s. Now that's a chart that appeals to me, but all too common in the resource sector. Must do some reading. Tipped by Shares Mag recently I think. Is this the stock you were thinking of?

Superg,
Yes, that is my experience, many companies will licence disruptive technology and just sit on it until the patent expires.

It's a trick that a surprising number if companies fall for again and again.

Seen it in everything from colostomy bags to platinum furnaces.

Having been out smarted by Iofina on the funding issue I see the short sighted brigade are now banging on about poor 2013 results. Good or Bad by the time they are out we will have 6 plants in full production + news on the water front & more. With funding secure, cash in the bank and increasing profits there is no stopping Iofina now!

Shonny,
I don't think so, you are on the wrong side.

It obvious that shorters will increase a bit to try and keep below the 20 DMA, only a matter of time before it breaks. I'm not naive on the games played in the markets.

Your last short must have been below 74p, your still on the wrong side.

MACD close to positive, it's not there yet but we will get there.

Am pleased with today's news. Yes it was expected but good to have uncertainty out the way.

Weather looking better in NW Oklahoma so good chance 2 new plants will be operational before month end.
