The seller needs to stop before we can see any movement here, been selling into any small rises here for days the 250k late sell was part of his lot certain of that, trouble is with stock available the shorters get an easy out as well.

Roger Melly, please have some decorum when addressing a lady, no matter what your views on her IOF position.
I understand that Worraps has a bigger IOF holding than the vast majority on here, and was as positive as any of us were during 2013.
Moreover, she didn't go 'mad' like the Ramu Kumars of this world, but did voice some reasonable and measured concerns.

I do not think for one minute that SuperG has you on filter, Worraps.
Hell, he even takes N3 off filter to have a dig at him from time to time ;-)

Sparrow you are a tiresome, daft and witless bird aren't you?
If he has got you filtered how the hell do you expect him to see your comment??

superg / Ansana.....could I ask why you think Standard Life have a keen interest? Have you got this from somewhere?

As I said earlier, I'm looking forward to the presentations, as last year, they were responsible for lighting the blue touch paper under the shareprice, on more than one occasion. In fact, at the time, we were waiting with certainty that this would happen. Presentations always represented a time to be feeling positive.

superg......have you got me filtered......just because I said you were too rose tinted last year, and got it wrong? I can't believe you would be that petty, especially as it's true! You're a big boy now, surely you can take it, especially when it's fair comment?

I want things to come good here, I'm up to my neck in IOF shares, and will not, and cannot sell at 76p!!

Well, it's possible I suppose, a rollover that is. But according to the link in my post 15681, the share-knowledge article, where they say "in the two weeks since this farce (Numis) was played out, institutional shareholdings have risen to 62% of the shares in issue", it would seem that they have been adding, not selling. But Old Mutual did offload some a few weeks ago, so whether they've offloaded some more, we'll have to wait and see.

Could be a roll over looking at prices and times. But could be sale of course given the price moves maybe OM?

Do we have any details about next week other than presentations start and we think SL in may be interested in buying in? Are they just in the UK? Who is coming over?

Spike 'I believe' .... You are sounding like me now. You mean the 10th and new funds not yet in. Personally I think SL have a keen interest, probably more so at this price

Picked a few up this afternoon on the dip. It seemed to take quite a hit on the Dow before these would react to the downside so have taken the chance its a bottom forming here.
Hope i haven't jinxed it for you all.:)

I expect to see a rise once the institutional presentations get under way (some time next week I believe). I would expect IOF to give us an update to go with the roadshow. Obviously clear commissioning progress with IO#4,5 would be good, as would an idea about progress with 6, and ideally some numbers on 1 - 3 (we can always hope).

Better still, would be a clear indication that significant sales of crystal iodine are under way and ramping up.

Ho hum - Mike

Thanks for the replies.
Looks to me that it has fallen too much as it seems to have a huge potential.

It was the water permit problem started it off plus some clever deramping and delays in the agenda, Ennismore starting to close their short now and I think you will start to see a slow steady rise from the water permit approval onwards

If the water project is considered to be a non core project what has caused the slide in the share price from the core operations. The only thing I can see is the fall in the price of iodine

On the slide here again today I see. can't say I'm surprised. Should see the sixties by next week. Now where's that guy that was expecting £3 by Xmas? £1 by Xmas will be a miracle at this rate.

Yes, you're right. Once or twice last year that event very much lit the touch paper with the shareprice. It would certainly be very welcome once more at this time!

che7win....."tangible good news"? I04 and I05 isn't due yet, and the water permit won't be for a while I shouldn't think. Is there something else?

I think it's only Ennismore exiting that will make any difference in the very short term...and so far, it hasn't done alot!

I appreciated your grounded posts yesterday.

Do we have US buyers, always seems to be buys early afternoon.Any tangible good news at this price point and with the pessimism around would move the share swiftly, just a matter of playing the waiting game.

Just a general comment re the finance rating of Coldelco recently. It gives the general flavour or rising costs and the impact on earnings. The iodine producers in Chile have the same problemsCodelco's financial metrics have weakened but remain adequate for its current ratings, with good coverage metrics, although debt leverage and return measures are poor. Generally steady copper production and sales volumes, combined with sharply rising costs and, since 2011, declining copper and molybdenum prices, have shrunk Codelco's earnings and operating cash flow in 2012 and in 2013.
