13/12/2013 09:55 | I was up to read the water news this morning but I've been out since before the market opened, so I've only just caught up. First, congratulations to Ennismore. They got it right and are now sitting on a very tasty paper profit. The thing is, of course, that a profit is only a profit when it's in your pocket! They now need to realise their gains. I can't imagine that they will have any reason to keep the short on beyond this point. There just isn't any more bad news to come. (Unless the FRP towers don't do the job for some reason!) That being the case they will be looking for a substantial holder who is looking to offload the best part of 2 million shares at a premium to current prices but at a price that is likely to be exceeded in a few months, so that they can get out of their position without coming to the open market. They may struggle to find such a holder. If that turns out to be the case they will just have to buy in the open market. I may be wrong, but I think that there's every chance that Ennis covering their short position may well underpin the share price now. | roboben
13/12/2013 09:45 | Hurricane I hope you are right as they need to restore credibility!!! | ![]() joeblogg2
13/12/2013 09:43 | Sentiment is currently shot to pieces here. That is a positive, I think anyone who would be selling now has gone ;-) Management need to start giving actual production figures month on month, saying record iodine production is meaningless for a growth company. The market is expecting new management to step up to the plate.....the market awaits. . | ![]() che7win
13/12/2013 09:43 | I wouldn't be surprised to see an RNS now, to confirm the current water permit status and situation, and also to include a production and progress update. | ![]() worraps
13/12/2013 09:41 | Shonny when iodine news is announced, the share price will be closer to £2 than £1. Wait and see | hurricane.
13/12/2013 09:38 | I hope management realise that they have a major job to do on restoring credibility to the market, and to share holders. They have allowed too many things to drift --promises which have not as yet materialised. | ![]() roundup
13/12/2013 09:35 | Buying a company set for triple digit growth now at current prices? Is not a trick question | ![]() captain_kurt
13/12/2013 09:33 | I bought some at 225p, I don't think it will take much to drive us up from here. Plants 4,5 are built except for the towers. If Ansana's post is correct, the towers are delivered, I would hope that two other plants will be ready q1, so we could have 7 plants operating over the next 4 months. The water application has not been denied yet, so sentiment can change, it's fickle and what give the opportunity today. I'm not happy, but this is a company with disruptive technology, competitors in a corner and the disruptor looking vulnerable to a take out if it remains at this level. Don't be disappointed if it's taken over, if shareholders don't value it properly, competitors have an opportunity to grab it. | ![]() che7win
13/12/2013 09:33 | Low cost producer (significantly less than main competitors), each operating unit takes 2.5% of national production, patented technology - pretty good for a chicken caught in the wind, to paraphrase the posts of a couple of recent scribblers. | ![]() frenchie01680
13/12/2013 09:32 | 12451 Good luck on GDL jackabite, bit of transference there methinks :-) | the librarian
13/12/2013 09:32 | CF is quickly turning this into a proper AIM disaster stock, 1 plant delivered this year is very telling. Good management is so important and sadly they don't appear to have it here anymore, post LB. | ![]() brhukatee
13/12/2013 09:26 | che7win "sentiment changes fast".....you're right there! This was the hen that was going to lay the golden egg just a few months ago. An awful lot of people put their money in at 250p, don't forget. | ![]() worraps
13/12/2013 09:23 | Worraps, We are priced on three plants operating and no growth at this price. Sentiment changes fast. If Ennis don't close their short at this price, they are crazy. A lot of games being played IMHO. | ![]() che7win
13/12/2013 09:21 | I've said it before and I'll say it again, there are too many margined holders in IOF. That is why these falls are exaggerated. | ![]() che7win
13/12/2013 09:20 | Today, this morning, it's almost become irrelevant how good the technology, the prospects, the management are.....because it seems to me much credibility has been lost. We have been told that the water permit was a certainty, a sure thing, no problems. This permit news, in isolation, could have been tolerated without too much harm as water is just the icing on the cake in the grand scheme of things. But, to come on top of delayed production, despite once again, promises of 6 plants before the end of the year, now not happening, is too much for the market to swallow, I feel. I feel like I'm being led along on the end of a piece of string. Yes, the potential with IOF is extraordinary, but you have to be as good as your word to maintain credibility. | ![]() worraps
13/12/2013 09:18 | Bag, Point taken, I think that's were management need to get their act together. | ![]() che7win
13/12/2013 09:16 | Che7 Anyone offering £2 would only do so after preliminary due diligence - that would give a sound message about IOF's prospects - yes and many who have been underwater would be tempted, understandably so. I would love to see such an offer to relieve the current feeling of vacuum. | baguette
13/12/2013 09:11 | If SQM approached IOF now with a takeover price of 200p, would you accept? Test yourself on that question, I wouldn't. | ![]() che7win
13/12/2013 09:11 | Pug If you are right that will tell me the whole case for this company' prospects has collapsed and the opportunity would be gone. Competitors would be able to respond in various ways to deny any further growth. I don't think the current management would stay in it to have a flat situation for another year or two. Sincerely hope you are wrong | baguette
13/12/2013 09:07 | Bouncing back hard now. Buying at around 130. | ![]() frenchie01680 |
