You may be jumping the gun there ramu :0 :)

Sad about coco, he was here before a lot of us and gave me a few laughs and took the pee out of me, not so fond of his alter-ego though.

Naphar,

For simple whingers read deeply disillusioned and underwater long term investors and there are many - want me to do a headcount?

What will happen when an RNS is delivered the share price goes up and then drops down a few days later.

You guessed it the same craving for an RNS!

Some people expect an RNS every time GL changes his underpants. People still don't accept it is proven technology.

"Fed up of whingers so excuse me if I get busy with the filter and ban button, they can use another thread there are plenty available."

Filter as you please SG, banning simple "whingers" may be a bit ott though

Hey SG,

Banning me will not make the share price go up. This is a forum for every INVESTOR to voice their opinion regardless of who created the thread. I'm truly surprised you can stoop to such low levels - what's the diff between you and Netley then?

Management here (and also Lance) have a huge shareholding between them. They have the incentive to deliver the best they can from the business plan in the medium to longer term. The short term price fluctuations may frustrate them as they frustrate us, but they have a duty to look after the long term value of the company. We all chose to trust them with that and maintain our investment, and vice versa.

I am still here and intend to hold - if the BoD had been selling out at £2+ my opinion would have changed months back, but they weren't. If there are some delays do I care? YES of course I do, because I don't want to see the share price shift down as a result, but will the BP have changed? - No, it will just be a delay. I hate delays because that is money down the drain literally, but business takes time, I have to accept that.

IOF delivered a lot last year, and they have a lot to deliver this year, they are running late in my mind (most of us assumed one a quarter), but we are where we are, maybe we should save judgements until the year is over, or we get news good or bad that allows us to make that judgement. Of course, that is personal choice, but it's the choice I have made.

SG your post 11220 No I do not do loads of research like you but actually what would be the point - thats what you do - all I try to do is occasionally record the fact that the company consistently fails to acknowledge that promises are there to be kept and recognise that however many opportunities you identify it is the performance which will determine share value at any time.

There are a lot of PI's underwater who chose to invest at what turns out to be inappropriate times based on prevailing sentiment (I am about neutral so not hugely disaffected). I just think that a moderating voice sometimes might prevent a few more from rushing in too readily while the core ethos of the business model is still being unravelled and management have not shown any true numbers yet.

One can read, read, read, dig, dig, dig and interpret everything with rose tinted glasses but the fact is the RNS of 1/8/13 clearly stated and I quote, " IO#4, IO#5 and IO#6 are scheduled to complete in the fourth quarter of 2013."

If this is NOT likely to happen, then update us underwater investors with the latest output numbers - c'mon BOD, it's almost FIVE months and you guys owe us an update on your plants and production. Not messing us with RNSs about Directors' share options, change of registered offices etc.

You know guys, I was hoping for £2 by year end but we will be lucky to touch £1.80 and stay there - tick me down but I've removed my rose tinted glasses and sticking to blue chip shares.

Got a dodgy ticker and this kind of misinformation is not good for my investment strategy, probably better off with Postman Pat - slow and steady wins the race.

Finally, SG, if you're going to reply, please, please, please restrict your posts to not more than 2 paragraphs or 150 words. After, the second para, I'm either confused or totally flummoxed or fallen asleep. So many words from SG and nada from IOF BOD - you long term investors make up your mind.

BWNP (Beware of winks, nudges & ping)
P.S. I still hold 200k in IOF

Must admit that I was expecting a quick dip down when it was close to £1.55 with nobody benefiting, I assumed that there were no stop losses to pick up there, and as has been pointed out many times, not all gaps are filled.

its the gap thats creating the weakness in the sp

it would be nice if it did get filled, if for no other reason than to take away the argument that it still exists!

i would certainly feel more comfortable with it gone.

Johncs/Noli thanks for that - its certainly unfortunate to have different versions of the RNS when the, apparently, small difference in wording can have quite a large effect on perceptions of progress.

Who knows... Could just as likely be in the interest on continuity of information between company and released RNS.

Still waiting for that gap to be filled Coco? Or do you think unlikely to happen now?

noli   19 Nov'13 - 19:28 - 11234 of 11236 0 0Johnsimpson, iof are removing it from the iof site as they need to put the rns on the iof site that has been given to investors. It seems the website administrator has put the wrong one on the iof site.

Does that mean the words 'producing iodine' was removed from the 'official' RNS for a reason?

John

We can't win the footy, if we do all will point to the fact they have key players missing. If they beat us, then they did it with the reserves.

I wouldn't get too hung up in the wordings, website v rns.

To me it seems the rns was done but then was adjusted as the brine sign off part wasn't done pre rns, so a case of being accurate in the rns, but forgetting to amend the website version.

Many seem to think brine was running through io3 last week. Whether IOF or the nomad decide to rns that, is up to them.

micknickbanny is 100% correct - this as on the IOF website:

Commenting on today's news, newly appointed CEO George Lantz, said: "We are very pleased to have IO#3 on line and producing iodine. Our construction and fabrication teams have built a state of the art facility which enables optimized production of iodine and a low number of staff to operate the facility. We are looking forward to steadily increasing production as additional plants come on line."
