Not me this time SG, just a deduction from the price movements on Friday. Maybe people who know more than they did before have taken advantage of that information?

"the three successive down spikes this summer therefore made the largest losses cumulatively from any position I have ever held."

Those three hours were exhilarating SCRUT, if only it hadn't turned (exactly} an hour before we know of no news news?

That hour mate? Leaky ...

Why don't you top-up at lower prices roger? I think there might be some much better opportunities ahead for your next top-up. Once the market has digested the forthcoming news properly - might be a good time then roger.

Good to be back in the UK and catching up on some very interesting It looks as though the institutions have been quietly adding and looks an opportune time to top up prior to the IO3 news. The other strings to the IOF bow are progressing nicely.

No that well is to do with True Oil on another level. Interestingly True Oil submitted the completion report minus any indication of gas of liquids.

In completion reports, in general they report barrels of oil, mcf of gas and brine etc

They do that if it's zero too, but True Oil didn't put in any details, so it's still up in the air, as to what is, or isn't in their well.

SG

Isn't this the well they risked a fine for late reporting?

What did they need the time before reporting for?

What have they done in that time?
Hmmmmmm Very interesting.

Naphar, Sam is not leaving the company, you are absolutely right, his move to IR was always temporary.

"I'll be sticking around as long as they'll have me. It is a great
company to work for with a lot of exciting things on the horizon"

The word horizon relates well to the last post.

Neddo - that goalkeeper you signed from us has yet to let one in! A bargain I reckon and we could sadly do with him back right now!

Ansana, on the topic of Sam going somewhere, I believe he is a full time finance employee, who just took up the IR reins when Lance went off sick. He may be passing the IR hat to Gary when he is settled in but I don't think that means he will be leaving IOF, more likely just returning to his own responsibilities. I think he quite likes it there!

che7win - you mentioned watching trades and timings in your earlier post. Would you please elaborate on that? What signs in particular do you look for, and what do you take them to signify? TIA. Writz.

Can you imagine the amount of time it would take to work through all the brine sites, wells and ppm.

IOF have over 2000 samples, and over 100 sites identified as commercial. That 19000 mt going down the drain per year re iodine rich brine, is more significant than many realise It is not a flippant remark. I would imagine the business plan with contracts in place, can show how IOF on an aggressive roll out can achieve that. The number may have got bigger though on the back of more recent iodine rich discoveries.

It's all part if why they went so nuts behind the scene, signing up more and more contracts. It was all partly to do with adding value for protection.

Over the next month we should get to hear more about what the plans are.

Re the website. Yes imo it's pants, but flowering that up wouldn't create business right now, all it would do is to serve PI's with a glossy magazine to look at.

However I get the point re potential new investors, who may go to the website to gain some knowledge on the company.

Re the deep rights, Helium and other parts, by looking at the site, you wouldn't have a clue re the prospects.

As long as they keep the cow pictures it's fine by me, it keeps Sky feeling his shares are in the right place.

Talking of which Sky, some cheek re the historic bumpkin posts, considering where they live.

"29.1 VALUATIONS TO BE REPORTED ON IF GIVEN IN
CONNECTION WITH AN OFFER

(a) Type of asset
This Rule applies not only to land, buildings, plant and equipment but also
to other assets, eg contracts, stocks, intangible assets and individual parts
of a business. Where such other assets are involved, the Panel should be
consulted in advance."

Not sure how the above works in practise - Presumably IOF would wheel out their valuations for these patents/contracts etc in the event of trying to rebutt an unwanted under-priced bid? - Or is there some other compulsory mechanism re reporting on this - Are they duty bound to disclose such valuations to shareholders/bidder in the event of an attempted takeover?

At the end of the day it is the shareholders who will decide whether to accept any bid or not

Danster: Imo everything is coming together this month, in advance of the interims.

From a recent reply from Sam:

"Gary will be handling IR when he starts with the company in September".

Don't know any more detail than this, but sure that someone here can amplify :-)

As we are reaching the end of Q3 and hopefully about to "Ping the Radar" it would be good if the IOF PR machine/person could update the websites photos and video gallery with each plant as they are commissioned. PR still seems very lacking, so hopefully this will change after the interim results are released.
