28/8/2013 08:55 | "Might this be IOF?" - No, Iofina only produced 62 tonnes in the first half of the year, and I'm sure it was all used internally. So not Iofina this year, maybe next. | ijpax
28/8/2013 08:45 | ba ba b - argh! - from the resident sheep! | escapetohome
28/8/2013 08:32 | What would happen if a price war broke out - That would not be good for the whole industry. | escapetohome
28/8/2013 08:27 | And if it wasn't IOF, who was it? | meadow2
28/8/2013 08:23 | Meadow2....you beat me to it. And if those higher sales volumes from competitors IS in part due to IOF, what are their tactics to combat this, likely to be? And will they be ethical, or unethical? Edit:- And with facts like these out in the open, and IOF's potential out in the open, and the market able to put two and two together, this shareprice leaves me bemused !! | worraps
28/8/2013 08:20 | And what about the quote '....however sales volumes from competitors have been higher than expected.....' Might this be IOF? | meadow2

27/8/2013 08:48 | Well, if Calvin Klein says don't sell that's good enough for me :) | joeywald
27/8/2013 08:27 | Its the digging it allows us to put all the bit, bobs and snippets together and that adds up to the big picture. It is why I say You'll see. After the comms, that janitor is impressive I am going to shout it from the rooftops. You'll see. I had one concern, the brines, I don't have that concern anymore. Our chosen company is progressing on our behalf so like CK said yesterday DONT sell, hang on. Think ASOS. Progressing is a very good word. | ansana
27/8/2013 08:14 | Well done Ansana, looking good. | rogerbridge
27/8/2013 08:14 | Last year's interims came out on 17th September. Are this year's likely to be around the same date. I have added to my holding but getting impatient! Ansana's email looks good.I have been a silent observer for the last few weeks, "Hear all. See all. Say nowt!" | pleco
27/8/2013 08:08 | Thanks, Ansana. Looks like September is going to be a nicer month than the last three have been. | worraps
27/8/2013 08:04 | Ansana Thanks from me too. Superg1 This new site u mentioned. Will u be switching over to it in preference to advfn? | bobsworth
27/8/2013 07:57 | Ansana, thank you. | bobbyshilling
26/8/2013 23:19 | An Over 1.2 billion barrels per year to chose from and climbing, so it should be fine as the whole business plan unfolds. (1.2 bill from 2007 data, IOF identified that amounts to 19000mt of iodine going down the drain in OK) | superg1
26/8/2013 23:16 | Bobby sorry just got in. I received the reply today. I have said it before and I will say it again You'll see. My concern has always been the brines, now these are sorted we are going to fly. | ansana
26/8/2013 20:41 | The Q3 comments for Sirocco, imo adds fuel to the fire of evidence of their continuing struggle. I did note a $6 mill write down of some obsolete sections of the plant. If the ALP goes with it's 'wear' that's $60m and a road to closure imo. We'll see, I'll give that iodine set up 1 to 2 years before they turn the light off and give up. I'm not making that as a point to support the case of IOF, just my thoughts re them. Back on Ansana's posts. Just what the Dr ordered and probably contrary to what the 'balcony' may be posting. Looking at the dating site, it probably is time to put on make up, for them. lol | superg1
26/8/2013 20:32 | Interesting, since you mention Sirocco (Lundin) Etrion is 22% owned by Lundin and they are to provide solar power to Atacama Minerals at it's Aguas Blancas Iodine mine. Fingers in many pies! | sandbag
26/8/2013 19:53 | I noticed Sirocco's website has updated giving its Q2 updateSecond Quarter 2013Iodine production in the three months ended June 30, 2013 ("Q2 2013") was 387 tonnes, a 14% increase over the same period in 2012 ("Q2 2012") and a 7% increase over the Q1 2013. The installation of the fines slurry plant in the agitated leach plant ("ALP") was completed as planned in Q2 2013. The slurry plant will facilitate increased throughput and production from the ALP during the balance of 2013. Sirocco remains on target to produce approximately 1,600 tonnes of iodine for the year. | supreme mo
26/8/2013 19:19 | Engelo I had a discussion where it was suggested they had around 600k acres at the start. Then they went through all the 3D data dumping anything that didn't look like it had the right shale under it etc. There was no point renewing leases that didn't look to be of interest. So yes 200 plus may be the 290k they have mentioned in the past. I have found a number of lease names for their acreage which I am sure belongs to iof. With all the activity around re the 3 forks, drilling, and oil finds adjacent to their acreage, new shale levels with oil shows and Helium, it's of no surprise that they are going through it all very closely. I've checked myself some leases don't expire until 2019 9/1/2019 12:00:00 AM NotPrd IOFINA NATURAL GAS, INC. Others 2021 | superg1
26/8/2013 19:07 | SG: You'll remember some discussion in June about the size of the Atlantis acreage. I asked CF at the AGM about the 290,000 acres (website figure) and he said he thought it was 200,000 acres or possibly less. However when I queried this recently with Sam (stating what CF had said) he replied: 'We own 290,000 net acres. Our division order analyst is going through all of our Atlantis acreage to ensure we are up to date on everything.' Hope this is correct, and we've got our 90,000 acres back :-)) | engelo
