I think most B/B'ers are still around but nothing much to add, a quiet board works for me.
Best wishes - Mike

Just in wait mode, there seems to be the odd bit that could pop up shortly.

Holiday.? Seems to be peak time at work for people being away.Given we get iodine from water then this 'ping' being discussed should be from a sonar pulse rather than radar... :)

You have to hold your hat up to the shorters, they have played a blinder imho. Not for much longer imho, once all the news starts to come through.

Nice post battery.

I suspect one of our trolls set the link, and we know what we think of the connection you mention and why. Bitly is a site to create your own links.

It's used in every post made so far by the person, and on XEL, you know who is there, and posts here.

Well I am looking forward to No 1 Battery. Some II's will be will be waiting until they know who is at the helm. It is looking very exciting here and I am pleased that there is still time for some newcomers to build a stake at low prices.
Most long termers are still in good profit and I hope newcomers will make some really good returns over the next 12 months and onwards, that is unless IOF are taken out by a competitor.

No idea excellent candidates. The best looking CV can often be the guy talking the best BS, and can regurgitate that BS in an interview. The BOD are too long in the tooth to fall for that. I would imagine whoever they consider they will have plenty of prior knowledge on them.

Elmer Fud would do if he is dynamic and can make decisions.

Lib,

"You might think that.... I couldn't possibly comment" ;-)

tick...tock... the shorters clock.

Just musing...
1/ We know they have been looking for a new CEO and CFO. It has been stated on here that excellent candidates for both have been found.
2/ We know IO1 and IO2 have been producing reliably. It has been stated on here that both have had upgrades to feedstock.
3/ We know they are building IO3 and IO4. We know they are coming very close to completion.
4/ We know they have applied for water rights with a "99.9% chance of success". That cant be too far away.

The above could be seen as a potential 'flood' of positive progress, all in the near future. All very bad news for mr shorty

To paraphrase...

Harry - "In all the excitment I dont recall whether you shorted this stock for 5 weeks or 6. Now seeing as this is IOFINA, probably the most powerfull iodine producer in the world you have to ask yourself a question punk..... Do I feel lucky......... Well.... Do ya PUNK"

Just a slight twist maybe on the wording.

95% sourced form the produced water. It is an interesting point. I very much doubt they can use the produced water in it's normal state, generally control measures are in place for what can be in frack water, so it sounds like it's recycled to me.

Lib: so who is processing the produced water? Could it be I02?

edit think noli and SG have been thinking this through, see noli's 5449

"It's all to do with the concentrate comment, apparently the iodine can be concentrated. Imho iof are doing something with Veolia, but i don't know what. It may be the Opus II but that's a guess on my part, it could also be recycling the brine once the ppm has been removed to sell the cleaned water back to thefracking industry."

Also SG's 6198

Too late to catch up on Opus II, whatever that is!

Taking cue from Battery, gla for tomorrow :-)

That's unlike you Battery, must know something?

Good point engelo, concentrated brines gives substance to the veolia connection.

Rugrat: thanks for the Midstates conference call. As you pointed out, the produced water/SWD cycle is a new development:

"Fortunately, due to our concentrated acreage position and efforts to optimize our disposal system 100% of our produced water goes to our SWD wells.
Additionally 95% of the frac water for our recent new completions is sourced from produced water, which significantly cuts the use of fresh water in the area."

The produced water must contain iodine and other contaminants, so how is it cleaned up, who's doing it and what's happening to the iodine? edit assuming it's IOF this has major implications.....
