01/8/2013 14:40 | Iofina, specialists in the exploration and production of iodine and iodine specialty chemical derivatives, is pleased to report that production in the second quarter totaled 45 tonnes of iodine paste compared with 17.5 tonnes in the first quarter, largely as a result of an increase in overall plant runtime from approximately 40% to 80%. The Company also recorded a daily high of over 1000kgs in the second quarter compared with a high of 695kgs in the first quarter. FANTASTIC NEWS BEING OVERLOOKED NOT BY ME THOUGH I TO CLEVER. £4 XMAS 6 PLANTS! | iof multibagger
01/8/2013 14:40 | jarvis,Re BLINKX quite. The market thought BLINKX were worth 9p(>>>170p) a share at one point:-))) When the "MARKET" gets it wrong you have to punish it. | fairenough11

01/8/2013 14:34 | Not sure but digging suggested iof was working with them on something, so as the name is hydro i would suggest thats water related. | noli
01/8/2013 14:33 | I am buying my first batch at 105p. Then averaging down fron there. | rojer108
01/8/2013 14:33 | I tend to look at the water in a different light, iof wont put terminals in etc in winter, so possibly next spring, by that time all permitting in montana should have been granted so 10kaf to go at. | noli
01/8/2013 14:30 | Noli, interesting about Veolia. So you think they will be entering into JV's for certain sites? | bogg1e
01/8/2013 14:29 | Bobsworth, another company i was looking at a while ago, their ceo stated in an rns that indian reservation water is easier to obtain. | noli
01/8/2013 14:28 | Bob, im wondering the same. So, mid august engineerng report in + eg 2 weeks for the authorities to double check all is well, bring us to the beginning of september. Then locals in the area pertaining to the permit have 45 days to contest the permit, which is unlikely, but would take the process to mid october. Then the permit can be officially granted. This is not exact mind you, just guesstimations. | bogg1e
01/8/2013 14:28 | THE SHREWD INVESTERS WILL BE LOADING UP TODAY. £1.40 BARGAIN | iof multibagger
01/8/2013 14:28 | Orslega If you're looking in this reminds me of Blinkx Autumn 2011. Company doing all the right things and market taking the proverbial. | jarvis4
01/8/2013 14:27 | A very nice update indeed, the story has improved and more value added for the long term. There is nothing wrong with a few delays, once the drilling finishes IO#2 will get the brine required. The daily high of over 1000kgs in the second quarter was excellent to say brines have been reduced, it goes to show that will easily be beaten once more brine comes online. The detailed engineering report required for the water in montana is i presume as its indian reservation land but only a couple of weeks for the report to be finished. Hydrosorb, new to me but at a guess this is where Veoila comes in. As for MaxSorb units i really dont know. I would have liked a line about getting a new ceo, i.e things going well and also an update on ND water application. | noli
01/8/2013 14:24 | 6 PLANTS RUNNING £4 OR TAKE OVER.. | iof multibagger
01/8/2013 14:24 | With reference to Iofina progressing its Water Depot project by submission of a detailed engineering report to the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation permitting in mid August (2 weeks away!). What happens next after its submission and when with reference to timescales? In other words, when can we expect approval of Iofina's water rights application. | bobsworth
01/8/2013 14:23 | iof multibagger filtered. I think the results are fine. Teething problems but that's all. Happy to continue to hold and let things unfold. | ammons
01/8/2013 14:18 | £4 conservative pcjoe you idiot | iof multibagger
01/8/2013 14:18 | Unless competitors have very deep pockets I cant see them affording IOF. As we know Iodine producers have generally high costs and so i cant see them having the extra funds to buy IOF without taking on a lot of debt with a bank of fund. Ive always felt a company like Dow chemicals will have deep enough pockets. I can however see the competition hedging their own production by buying a stake in IOF, but not the whole company. I imagine SG1 if anyone would have a better idea of what IOFs competition can afford. | bogg1e
01/8/2013 14:14 | Who is going to take it over at the moment? They have to get production and numbers coming in before that will happen..and they are behind on that. | uppompeii
01/8/2013 14:12 | To be honest I hope we get some t/o activity as there are plenty of irons here and if SQM have problems then they may well be interested sooner then later and that would burn the shorters who are now appear to be targeting here!! | joeblogg2
01/8/2013 14:08 | Correct Ramu - Under egg & over achieve - The story is fine enough & no need to over cook from any quarter | pcjoe
01/8/2013 14:02 | zara, at 250p per share the share was on a scarily high p/e of about 50 compared with net revenue estimates for 2013. It would have taken a lot of optimistic RNS's to keep that momentum going. We are now on a much more reasonable p/e, ie below 30. Its a good takeover target because of the roll out plan for plants over the coming years which will dwarf current output by orders of magnitude, additionally water licences and other assets will add to the bottom line over the coming few years. | bogg1e
01/8/2013 14:00 | Bogg1e: yes, I was a bit disappointed that we aren't seeing more solid numbers from 1 & 2 yet. When we get the brine we will start seeing the tonnes. Patience. Easy to say, difficult to practise. | chumbo
01/8/2013 13:58 | Dont understand this Can somebody explain? July 1st - £2.50 Only news/update since then today - A little behind with production Today - Dipped to £1.30 So almost a 50% drop in companies worth If this is such a great share (rumoured by many to hit £4 and beyond) why are its comptetitors buying it? | zarasport615 |
