18/6/2013 15:30 | Noli, didn't think of it like that. Or maybe I didn't 'want' to think of it like that, a pound on the share price for every plant in OK, gets scary quickly for how high we could go. Beercapafn, completely agree. | diggulden
18/6/2013 15:26 | How can I get rid of the ads now suddenly appering on the right hand side of my PBB alerts. Help please. I think it is unbelievable the way ADVFN fill my paid monthly sub of 60 quid with 50% of the screen real eastate taken with ads. Does anyone else aggree. ? | beercapafn
18/6/2013 15:25 | Just a thought, we think this year and the rollout is exciting, next year we could have a new plant approx every 6 weeks and the MI's on top of that. | noli
18/6/2013 15:16 | Hurricane is going for 225p-ish finish. Looks spot on so far. 10% down then 10% up again. Frigging aim shares are so annoyingly bouncy. | bogg1e
18/6/2013 15:02 | Boggle I watched every twitch almost daily up to 30p in 2011, down to 17/18 so I tend to pick up up unusual behaviour in the price and action. I see Hurricane (mystery poster, popped up again today and he is rarely wrong. Legend status beckons if it closes near the price he suggests. | superg1
18/6/2013 14:56 | testuser cheers. Its cool, I've done my research on the range of possible project values. Thanks for the thought though. | bogg1e
18/6/2013 14:41 | sg, cheers. Tha'ts reassuring. | bogg1e
18/6/2013 14:30 | absolutely right sg, up against the backdrop of reasons for the share price to be hit hard, it has shown terrific resistance, imagine where the price would be if we had not had the shorters, the market sell off, lance's illnes, landg... after all that what have the romans ever done for us! j. | jonnyno1
18/6/2013 14:23 | Hi Everyone! Been a while since I last posted (work has been somewhat nightmarish recently). I managed to get the day off tomorrow which I wasn't expecting so will be attending the AGM. If anyone's up for a pint and some lunch afterwards just shout (or if there are a lot of responses we can subvert the Cheltenham thread). Also it may interest you to know that when I mailed the ir email address on the 13th to confirm what I needed to provide for the AGM I got a reply from Lance so he's still kicking about. PS: Bogg1e - on the QFI thread you will no doubt run into a poster called SueYou1. Please do not trust any of their calcs on future profits. They are wildly overoptimistic to the point of ramping (Dorset64 will back me up on this :) ). In particular in relation to qfi the numbers around future power station contracts are pure fantasy. Not a qfi holder but it was on my watchlist for a while. | testuser123
18/6/2013 14:20 | Think you meant IOF re 240's. We now know what that was. L and G were aggressively selling off in recent weeks. The strength is pretty stunning with all things considered. Shorts going in, CEO ill, plus CEO resigned rns, main market fell 7% off highs through that, La nd G 8 mill plus shares gone if you take the 6.68% holding as gone now. The rns said 4m left from April 19th, indicators are that most of those went last week. Action and rumours today seems to back that up. We should get a positive update at the agm, to keep things ticking along nicely, maybe a trading update tomorrow pre meeting. They may have too, if they want to discuss positive progress re what's happened in H1. Then we have those non core potential major news points at some time in the process whether weeks, months, or next year. They include the 3 forks play and interested partners, the helium play which Weil resources are currently doing another well on. The water rights permit progress, interested parties in buying the water business, the Atlantis water asset. Then comes the unknown re potential oil next to their acreage on a new play (True oil are busy on that). The Nisku which has oil shows and is yet to be tested. Not forgetting revenue from dealing with waste water, they have mentioned it briefly but I don't know a thing about it, or feel the need to look into it. | superg1
18/6/2013 14:16 | uppompeii Just to set the record straight most posters here know that I never use stops. It is an invitation to be robbed since the SB company knows exactly when it has the opportunity to spike you out. I balance the risk by having a widely spread portfolio. Nevertheless IOF takes up over 40% of it. During yesterday and today I have several times bought in small amounts with the surplus value thrown up each time the portfolio inched higher. So I have managed to regain more than 30k of the shares 'confiscated' to satisfy the sudden margin call at 10.12 am. That was when the share price did a 27p nose dive on that unexpected news flash re Lance. The technique is only possible with SBs and CFDs. It substantially increases the overall return (whilst rejecting instead each opportunity to reduce the risk). | scrutable
18/6/2013 14:16 | Thanks Northern . . . | johncsimpson
18/6/2013 14:02 | superg1, youre so right about ones own research. I have made some howlers in the past because i naively thought i could skip over the nitty gritty details. QFI's nitty gritties seem fine so far. Still despite the major sell off it seems the share price is very well supported given todays bounce, keeping the channel intact. What bothers me is the very strong resistance in the 240p-ish levels, but surely this much support must indicate a breakthrough is on the cards at some point in the near future. | bogg1e
18/6/2013 13:58 | Meadow2 - I think he may be having a very late lunch... | uppompeii
18/6/2013 13:55 | But, SHONNY said 200p at 8.30am, then changed to 200p at lunchtime and 195p finish today!! | meadow2
18/6/2013 13:53 | I normally post on iii. bought this baby at 120p not selling until she reaches a tenner. | share cadaver
18/6/2013 13:52 | johncsimpson 18 Jun'13 - 13:43 - 2262 of 2264 | northern1
18/6/2013 13:48 | Northern1 No, The last of the supply just being sold off aggressively imo and a few spooked one's that went. On Bison. I did have a look, but the water they were talking of was low level, compared to IOF. The main part was Frack sand + mining + most funds have just run away from the sector. Bison was being pushed as the only exposure on the LSE to the services side of the frack boom. Well we knew that was not true for a start. I could imagine they are a bit late to the frack sand party, and bad timing to come this way for cash for mining. Boggle I've done a few 1000 hours iof research and there is still plenty I don't post. Always best to DYOR but there isn't much we don't know the answer to. You'd be amazed, at some very basic questions, that some well researched sectors asked. I know for sure analysts really don't get the time to look seriously at whatever they are tasked with. I bet the poor guys are just rammed full of work, and just have to get something out there. | superg1
18/6/2013 13:46 | Nashwan. Agm is tomorrow. | battery
18/6/2013 13:43 | Northern - your post 2257 I've been following the Bison IPO from a distance. Can you point me to somewhere I can catch up with the 'failed IPO' news . . . TYIA | johncsimpson
18/6/2013 13:41 | But, SHONNY said 200p at 8.30am, then changed to 200p at lunchtime and 195p finish today!! | meadow2
18/6/2013 13:38 | Any AGM snippets yet? | nashwan123
18/6/2013 13:25 | jppatterson, As IOF is not a property fund, nor a financial trading company, there is no reason to suggest it does not qualify for IHT exemption. You do understand you'd have to hold it 2 years and then until death to qualify? | n3tleylucas
18/6/2013 13:21 | Is there still some dripping in of T and G remaining shares for sale? 5k's. or just regular sellers. Looking good for the 225p finish mentioned earlier. :-) | peterz |
