03/6/2014 09:35 | Well done lance , excellent news ..does anyone know if these monthly updates are to run for a while or Is just for the next few months .. | mr paul b
03/6/2014 09:32 | Really good news and these monthly updates will help raise the confidence that is needed. Just had our letters through from TDW so maybe we will see some of you fine gentlemen on 10th! | tackems
03/6/2014 09:06 | from RNS Focus on IO#4 - note, little disruption. "We see consistent brine capacity at the site even during fracking which is encouraging. The Company is moving forward on improvements to allow greater volumes of brine to IO#4 which currently is maximized at 20,000 barrels per day." and technical improvements in 10#6 design.. IO#6 construction continues to progress with completion expected near month end. The improvements being made to IO#4 are being reflected in the design of IO#6 to ensure maximum brine supply. So with 105#5 and 10#6 coming on line end of this month....July production will be the one to watch....with or without brine disruptions... : ) | orslega
03/6/2014 08:42 | Very pleased with the May production figures. It will be interesting to see if the chemical test on IO1 is a success. Cost savings there. I like the comments about cutting costs and with greater efficiencies throughout the whole process. I hope the chemical division sales team will be in a position to use utilise the increased production as the market for iodine remains soft at this point in time. Hopefully, this will not be for much longer, as SG has pointed out. Improved production from IO4 to come, IO5 when hooked up and IO6 nearly complete. Those production costs will be coming down. | rogerbridge
03/6/2014 08:39 | "Significantly, Iofina's engineers have found a way of eliminating an unspecified chemical that will save the group US$4,000 a day, or almost US$1.5mln a year, across all its plants" hxxp://www.proactive | orslega
03/6/2014 08:33 | My conern is the rise in share price prior to these excellent results. | bob alan
03/6/2014 08:28 | Remember this figure is without 3 and 4 on full song, we have four plants 3-6 to get up to speed, the monthly figure beats my expectation. Firmly on the map, the rest of the iodine market is not going to dismiss us after today. | che7win
03/6/2014 08:25 | Delighted with that news, production beat my target, not often you can say that with Iofina! LB being back is obviously making the world of difference. New broker notes should be out soon, once IO5 and 6 are operational, our monthly production should be up to circa 60MT, giving us a annual run rate of 700MT+, and that's being conservative, and without any extra plants or minis. | diggulden
03/6/2014 08:21 | 'The Company produced 40.5 metric tons (mt) of crystallised iodine at Iofina Resources in the Period, compared with 21.8 mt in April, an increase of 86% month on month. This improved production rate exceeds the Company's production target for the month. The Company was also profitable for the Period in terms of both EBITDA and net profit, following the implementation of operational efficiencies and cost controls put in place after the recent board and management changes.' Says it all for me. | angel of the north
03/6/2014 08:17 | This RNS proves that the process works not only in theory, but also in practice, working with the oil companies. It also shows that management can deliver. So, with iodine resources identified through widespread brine sampling, that only leaves finance as an obstacle in the way of getting a very significant share of the world iodine market. With today's news I feel that is an obstacle that is removable. | mikkydhu
03/6/2014 08:15 | well we must expect 2 broker updates soon....last conservative targets were 45p and 65p from memory... | orslega
03/6/2014 08:13 | Looks as though Shonny has lost his bet | rogerbridge
03/6/2014 08:12 | Jumping up on production is one thing, but proving the business model is a completely different game altogether. While there may be some testing months ahead, IOF just proved their business model. Fracking disruption will subside, it did at io2 and they are on record levels, io1 optimised and on record levels. The tech works and the brine disruption elements will fade away in the coming months. io2 went through that cycle. | superg1
03/6/2014 08:11 | this is an rns where one buys on the news unlike so many others I have seen. | phoenixs
03/6/2014 08:10 | At last!! Far better than I expected. Now I can breath a huge sigh of relief and not hold my breath anymore. It has been a difficult time to say the least. | phoenixs
03/6/2014 08:10 | Looks likely to me that when all 6 plants are built and/or fully working, we should be at 60mt or more, perhaps 750mt per year run-rate? Add in a couple of mobiles and we could be up to 850-900 ?Just musing. NAI | cyberbub
03/6/2014 08:02 | bryproj Exactly my thoughts this morning when reading encourging RNS. Is the share price now up with story for those in the know? My luck Ill buy in today and it will reverse on the theory sell on news! Anyway overall IOF looks to be back on track. | nashwan123
03/6/2014 08:01 | Congratulations to Lance and team. Well done. What a turnaround; goes to show what a difference good management makes. | roundup
03/6/2014 08:00 | Wow, that is impressive production. | rogerbridge
03/6/2014 07:47 | Looking forward to the AGM statement and the after effects of institutional presentations next week :@) | captain_kurt
03/6/2014 07:45 | Re the sales are they talking iodine or the products from the chemical division? Bit confused as I thought we'd have heard if they been selling iodine and it does refer to 'products' rather than 'product' or better yet 'iodine'. That query aside it's looking good with less disruption than feared and more upside in the near term. | count chris
03/6/2014 07:45 | What a turn around. We had everything from excellent production figs to possible further cost savings and all presented in a coherent way to give me and Mr Market something to cheer about. Well done Lance and IOF. | ansana
03/6/2014 07:44 | Wonderful news :) Well done Lance and the Team. | j4ckster
03/6/2014 07:42 | Great news This improved production rate exceeds the Company's production target for the month. The Company was also profitable for the Period in terms of both EBITDA and net profit, following the implementation of operational efficiencies and cost controls put in place after the recent board and management changes. | monet |
